In Christmas I was scammed through trade. Cant belive... Pls dont do this mistake!
In a manual trade, where you have unlimited time, you can control which item the buyer places in the trade window. Sorry, but this isn’t GGG’s fault. Just take 0.5 seconds to double-check what was placed.
I have zero sympathy for this. It’s always the same excuse: "hectic and nervous." That said, I fully support the idea of a fixed, automatic trade system where you can directly buy items for price X and item Y without needing to whisper back and forth. |

" One of the GGG forum mods edited one of my posts, to take out THE EXACT SAME THING the person I quote tweeted had said, without editing the quote tweet or the person I was quote tweeting. And I hadn't even said anything that violated their code of conduct. It was just negative about GGG's decisions in general. Not even any swearing or over the top insults. Just a disappointment in their poor design decisions. And then messaged me to tell me to follow their code of conduct--which I had been. So not only are they protecting scammers, they're arbitrarily attacking players who aren't happy with PoE2 and erasing negative feedback. If that's how they wanna play it, I'm done with them. Enough's enough. This company's rapidly spiraling down the toilet. |

this is a private forum with rules. Period.

GGG is only doing this because they do NOT want auction houses. If you trade you have to go to player hideouts and it encourages MTX (apparently). Getting scammed is part of it, thankfully it has not happened to me yet but many have tried. An auction house would fix everything and improve the game but GGG do not want that. Also amazing we cannot at least report scammers and they even protect their identity

" 1. name dropping in the forums is just a bad idea... This is not some privately run discord server where they will just take one persons word for it and put real heavy consequences on someone because "trust me bro, he did it". Scamming is a real scumbag thing to do but it's your responsibility to check the trade you are doing and make sure that you are not being scammed by the LITERAL OLDEST TRICK IN THE BOOK... I swear the old swapparoo is the most basic of scams and sadly has been doing the rounds again with the big influx of new players. Just please always check the currency or items you are trading for... It's why we have the trade window where both parties have to accept the trade... the only reason this scam works is because people are not paying attention, and that is on them. 2. They are probably on Christmas break right now... It is early access... Everyone who paid the 30 clams, paid to be part of a testing early access environment where there will be bugs and problems... That is a given when it's clearly stated as early access. If that is a big issue for you, you should have just waited for full release... It would have been free. Well, this brought my sadness to a next level. Protecting an secure trade environment is not their first aim I see. Simply they're calling me stupid. OK.

You literally have to mouse over the item to accept the trade.
Pay attention. |

Great trade system working as intended per their idiotic manifesto. Just wonderful all around player experience. Smfh

Getting scammed means you didn't bother looking at your screen while trading. Just take your time checking the items/currency you are looking at. Lately scammers definitely got more active - people tried scamming me ~12 times for a 25div jewel, before someone actually dropped the 25div into the trade window.
Don't be stressed while trading, just confirm the contents of the window and you will never get scammed. Farming salt on the forums since 2024
