Auction house for the love of god

Bump for AH support. It doesn't need to remove the social trading process/aspect for people who want that.

1600 hrs of PoE1 time as taught me that most people late in a league will end up ignoring requests to buy those items because their price is not worth interrupting what they are doing. |

Hopefully the currency exchange system is their test run for this, and its already in the works. |

Or leave the trading site up, but change the whisper function to a buy now button that automates the sale and item/currency transfer. Get rid of fake listings, non-responsive sellers, scammers swapping a different item during the trade in a hideout. What a pain in the ass the current system is. Make it better. |

I am not saying that I would be against an auction house. But so many people put it up as the all saving holy grail, which it simply is not. An auction house has its own issues.
" With an auction house bots will automatically buy cheap items withing 0.1 second to resell them for more. An auction house will amplify this a hundredfold. Nobody can compete with a bot. The human interaction in trade currently limits this a bit. When sellers get spammed by hundreds of whispers they tend to reprice the item. " On the other hand you have the situation where, especially newer players, don't know how to price an item correctly and put it up for too cheap. With an auction house, no chance, puff, the item is gone with 0.1 second, bought by a bot. We have already seen this in Diablo 3. With the current trade players have to chance to react to the mass of whispers and reprice the item. Just think about a player who knows nothing about attribute stacking, gets an Astramentis, does not know its value and puts it up for 2 Exalted Orbs. " This is the only benefit of an auction house. It is a very good one, but the only one. " That is no difference to the current trade system. " Why would you think it would be faster pace gear progression? If the items are cheap, like said before, they are already gone, bought by a bot. Then you are left with the handful of fairly priced items. Do you think you are the one out of 1000 players wanting them who gets one of those 10 items, that were previously listed in the old system by players who did not respond? Even if so, still leaves the 990 players who don't. This point is simply wishful thinking. |

" No Auction House in PoE 2? That’s Just Lazy Here’s a list of games with auction houses that prove Path of Exile 2 has no excuse: EverQuest (1999) Ragnarok Online (2002) Final Fantasy XI (2002) EVE Online (2003) World of Warcraft (2004) Final Fantasy XIV (2010) ArcheAge (2013) The Elder Scrolls Online (2014) Black Desert Online (2016) Albion Online (2017) These games span decades and offer player-driven trading systems that are accessible and functional. Meanwhile, Path of Exile relies on outdated trade methods that force players to use third-party tools. How is this acceptable in 2025? If developers could figure this out over 20 years ago, there’s no reason PoE 2 can’t have an auction house. This isn’t about “philosophy”; it’s about refusing to modernize because they cater to the RMT's that dominate the current trade system and market. Grinding Gear Games, take note—this is long overdue. Why Do People Oppose Auction Houses? Follow the Money. Let’s break this down: the people most vocally against auction houses in games like Path of Exile often have something to gain from the current system. The trading process allows for: Price Manipulation: Without a transparent, centralized system, scammers can inflate or deflate prices through market collusion. They prey on inexperienced players who don’t know the fair value of items. Exploiting Frustration: Many players don’t have time for endless trade whispers or haggling. This frustration is exploited by individuals who lowball desperate sellers and resell items for massive profit margins. Gatekeeping New Players / Casuals: The complexity of manual trading acts as a barrier, keeping less experienced players from participating in the economy. This ensures that veterans or "market sharks" maintain their dominance. Third-Party Tools and RMT (Real Money Trading): Some of these individuals rely on third-party tools or even real-money trading. A proper auction house would cut into their shady operations by making trading transparent and accessible to everyone. An auction house can mitigate these opportunities for exploitation. Transparent pricing and convenient access level the playing field, benefiting the majority while eliminating the advantages scammers and cheats currently enjoy. Anyone fighting against that probably has something to lose on the black market. |

The website is good enough you do not need a auction house, what you'll need is the ability to automatically trade when you pick our pick on the trade side. Just drop ship it. I want gear X and the other party wants item X if i have the required items then trade with out inviting to party then trade put in items etc. Just a drop ship box where you can pickup the items.

Trading sucks we need in game AH !

I think it would be good to have limit, like 5-10 items per day, to prevent excessive flipping.
