"Rarity of items found" Ruin the game!
The amount of people complaining about MF on Reddit is incredibly high.

" the problem is... we had this issue in poe 1 already but it wasnt even as bad as it is in poe 2.. . we had item quantity and GGG them selves just recently said ok.. .this is bad we are removing item quant from gear because we dont want players to chose between power and loot ... so its just early access isnt really good excuse for that.. . its bad design and they are aware of that.. . if they removed it from poe 1 cause its bad why add it to poe 2? similar with the balance between ES being easily 15-20k ES vs life struggle to get above 3k.. . we have ES and life in poe 1 .. . they removed % life on tree but tripled the % ES on tree aswell as added alot more ES on tree.. and made ES items even stronger than in poe 1 (thanks to runes) what did they expect? |

" for good reason... its way too punishing not to stack this stat on every piece of gear.. . and it causes inflation and its either you dont use it and you drop nothing and your only way to get currency is flipping or you just give up your fun build to use it and farm currency .. |

" You are right, warrior needs a retouch, my bad. Its just odd that people are now howling about "remove MF" like thats going to make the mirror tier items theyre looking for on trade any cheaper. Party play has always been insanely strong, and with certain uniques the problem is exacerbated, but removing MF isnt going to make them poorer, it'll make the already crappy solo drops even worse You seriously dont have to "drop" your build for MF, what the hell is this take? Are you telling me you never had to flip currency in poe 1, or god forbid use the chaos recipe to get upgrades? Last edited by DarkLordOdeo#6686 on Dec 23, 2024, 9:30:44 AM

I agree, remove this stats! I feel forced to have it on every piece of gear or i get nothing. Some people get 3-4 Divine orbs an hour with a lot of this stat. I got 2 divine orbs since launch. 2!!! You're right, it's ruining the game right now. I feel forced to have Item find gear in my inventory, when the boss is almost dead i switch to stack MF. I don't want to do this everytime hell no. Remove this stats from gear and find another interresting way to win some Item find in another system.

" ok since i like your attitude and you dont seem toxic about it but honestly dont understand ill actually explain and also answer your questions. first about warrior: 100% warrior need alot of improving i think everyone will agree on that.. . but so does all cold spells.. have you tried to play cold spells after they removed triggers ? they have 0 dmg and bad aoe/range really they are just bad.. i think only casters are archmage lighting, infernalist fire/chaos ? people are not upset about some specific mirror tiers.. people are not frustrated because they "cant afford" temporalis or something (tho im doing good with currency because i am flipping) people are frustrated that basic loot stuff like some life some resists some attri rings are like 10 divines and even common uniques that are good but common are many divines.. which without "rarity of items found" they barely find any divines.. . maybe on avrage 1 divine every 10+ maps? they cant keep up with inflation they spend entire day farming but the item they want went up in price alot more than what they farmed all day it means they wasted 10 hours and went backward instead of improving! party play is indeed broken op.. and require a nerf it has been op in poe 1 and its still op in poe 2.. but GGG wont make party play bad because they want people to play together because it brings more play.. also despite party play being unbalanced and op 95% maybe even more are not playing in party.. so while it is op it doesnt really have that much impact on economy.. becuse most people prefer to play alone becuse party require to have people wait for people to play at same time.. play not at your own phase.. people avoid it. . its not common so impact isnt huge despite how op.. meanwhile "magic find" is also working in solo.. and it just became too popular because everyone feel pressured to use it and replace his stats with rarity so the impact on economy and builds is just massive.. to a point where if you dont use it.. . and you dont wanna flip game is close to being unplayable/unenjoyable for you.. (additinal note there.. removing magic find is also direct nerf to party play because party play benefit from magic find ) the intention isnt to just remove magic find and tell people ok now no one gets anything.. . but balance the game around not having item rarity or giving it at higher numbers on the atlas passive tree.. so everyone even the ones who are not using it gets more loot but the max loot doesnt get as crazy and bad ! i have flipped in poe 1 not only currency but items too and i have flipped in poe 2.. . but are you telling me that this should be the only way to play the game? are you telling me that its good design that if you dont have item rarity and dont build magic find its ok that you will have no loot whatsoever but if you give up your build that you enjoy to spec fully into rarity you will not enjoy your build but you will rain divines is ok healthy game design? people want to play the game kill stuff and progress they dont after all we kill monsters and bosses for the loot.. if theres no loot why even kill? |

To be honest i always hated this stat aswell - it alway feels like a mix between missing out on loot and missing out on a good build.
Keep it in the game but add it as an extra stat that doesnt steal a slot? That way "perfect" items would be even more rare if you also want this stat maxed - yet you still wouldnt have to pick between good gear and better loot. I just dont feel like it adds any fun to the game. Does anyone actually enjoy the mechanic where you sacrifice good gear for lootluck? Or have good gear but constantly have the feeling of missing out on loot? Also - is there even any stats etc. on what it does. I had some gear with it for a while - then not - i didnt see any difference. For example - if you have a 0,02% Dropchance for a super epic item. Having 10% more chance would mean 0,022 chance. So that would mean you would get: 20 super epic items in 1000 Drops OR 22 super epic items in 1000 Drops with 10% more If its like that i probably wouldnt even care. " solution is honestly sooooo simple.. . : remove all forms of "rarity of items found" from gear.. and add them at increased value more spread around the atlass passive tree to make it rewarding to explore the game and unlock points. and to increase the overall loot everyone is getting! i should never have to decide between being stronger or finding more currency and i should never have to chose between playing build i think is cool to being able to stack as much rarity.. unenjoyable game design. |

I Agree that it would be better if we dont have this stat at all
