Finding A Solution Regarding The Support Gem Limit
" " This! The support gem limit forces you to choose and think, based on both damage and your playstyle. In PoE 1 we didn't really have this choice, as damage was always king. The final DPS number on your ONE damage dealing skill was always king. In PoE 2, you are rewarded for using several skills. And there are enough damage supports for more than one damage dealing skill, but most of them are situational. More support gems are coming, which means more choices. And choices are good. "One correct DPS path" is not. Bring me some coffee and I'll bring you a smile. Last edited by Phrazz#3529 on Dec 21, 2024, 7:07:53 AM

" Well those who believe otherwise are fooling themselves. Poe1 is very much a "1-button game". The vast customization does not in any way come from an ability to use many fully supported skills, which is obvious because you have max 1-2 6-linked skills. I get that you want the limit removed but arguing on an obviously false premise will get you nowhere. |

Funny I find poe1 very limitedm just because you need the right number of sockets, the right color, and all linked! And if you change gear, you have to change. Poe2 give the player more control over skills, and the limit force you to be creative. It just feel less random and punishing than poe1.
But I agree we need more support gems, in particular for spirit gems. But we still miss half the classes & weapons. |

" That's your opinion and you are fully entitled to it as I'm fully entitled to mine. Calling this an obviously false premise doesn't eradicate the face that one cannot use the same support gem on several skills. |

" I know it doesnt, that fact will remain. It certainly wont be changing based on ridiculous arguments that it somehow is more limiting than PoE 1 and as a result will never get the same amount of viable builds. |
