At this point they should pull back both trials and make something else, it was a horrible idea to make league mechanics mandatory for ascension. All league mechanics are just bonus content that's optional, that's the point of them being in the game. Just seems like a rushed decision to push out this early access before the end of 2024 honestly.

Remove both trials, put in some placeholder quest or literally give people their points on leveling up to like 28,38,65,80. There you go its fixed for now. And GGG can take as much time as they need to develop a good system for it.

Just give us an option to run both the trials without entry tickets, but without any item drops while still being able to ascend.

You want items - put in a ticket. Make item drops very good at very high levels of the trial, so good players have something to be happy about as well and grind. Maybe even make the number of floors/rooms infinite when you have a ticket so they can race and see who can get furthest up.

I just want to bash my head into the wall for a few hours in an evening or a weekend and go through this shit and play my character afterwards, not farm a week for a single entry so I can fail it, forget most of it by next time I get a drop and repeat again. It especially sucks when you get unlucky afflictions, and you know you've wasted this weeks limited free time for gaming you had.

The lab was good because if you failed you could run it again, immediately. Not so with either of the trials.
