PLEASE PATCH
If you're on NVIDIA, they already promised to patch the driver. Just be patient.
Haven't played since 19th and I won't play again until this is fixed. Sitting on brand new Hardware, and no issues in any other game so far.

Absolutely unacceptable.

Think about the kids GGG! You could honestly highlight the solutions for this issue such as Win 11 users rolling back from 24h2. I'm not on win 11 but I was crashing with d3d12 when not on vulkan and using the september nvidia driver works for me. But yeah feel bad for all the useless kids who can't troubleshoot.

Many users are experiencing full PC crashes/freezes due to CPU utilization hitting 100% during certain loading screens which leaves no CPU power for the OS and cause the PC to Freeze.

This is not how computers or operating systems work. Unless you are running your game as a high priority process, which would be dumb.

This is exactly how computers work and exactly what is happening with PoE2 currently.

Maybe its PoE2, maybe its 24H2, maybe its a combination of the two but when playing PoE2 I started having my entire system lock, unable to even kill the process and reboot. The only solution is a hard reboot.

Having these types of system crashes can damage the software and in some cases damage the hardware.

PoE2 has no special priority on my system, and its the only game that I run which causes this issue.

Im able to play anything else, for however long I choose and not have this issue.

While I understand you've spent an ungodly amount of funds on this game by your badges, telling people "Thats not how computers work" is irresponsible.

Yep. Exactly!

The guy that replied before is completely right. If the process doesn't have special priority (like real time), it cannot freeze entire system.

The guy is right. Most of you have very limited knowledge about the internal kitchen of your PC, but for some reason instead of digging some information about the OS, drivers, privillege levels, interrupts, scheduler and other stuff you start to blame users for pointing that you're no correct. Your OS and the driver-related shit is INCREDIBLY complex big "city". It's not just let me cap the CPU usage and problem gone.

PS The next page another one "joe" will come in and will blame GGG for hanging his PC with absulutely ideal code in his kms, uefi, os, cpu, etc.

I have NVIDIA, two weeks ago all good, but since recently my GPU is making a lot of noise and hits 80 degrees running the game...any problem with driver? omg...
I have about 60 hours playtime with 0 crashes. Seems to be a hardware or Win 11 related issue, as was said earlier.

Just had my first crash after playing 100 hours. Completely crashed and restarted my PC.

4060ti, i5 12600, both only a year old.

This is not a hardware related issue and Im not on Win 11.
