💡⚠️ Dev Feedback - Endgame is FAILING
1. Endgame is obviously tossed together right now. Game obviously falls off the cliff after act 3, which is expected.
2. D2 also had no real endgame. It's fine to quit a game/try other classes/come back next league. If you NEED to nolife a game every day, that's your own prerogative. |

I'd love to experience the endgame more, but I keep crashing and losing my waystones. Can't get them back without farming in lower tiers. Two new low tier waystones from Doryani a day is not enough.

My biggest complaint with end game is, going into the tier 8 map quest now, is its starting to feel a bit samey without much rewards. All the unique end game content that I'm looking forward to, the Faction Act bosses and the Burning Pillar, feel ages away. The only thing 'new' from the campaign is Delirium and Breaches, and my warrior's struggling to get anything from the latter, while the former I've not really gotten anything I consider worthy annoiting with the emotions I've got at hand (there might be, but what I really want is the 4% increased Strength notable locked behind the stun passives).
The map bosses were meant to have juiced up mechanics, but so far each one I've found just seems to be a level adjusted version of their campaign selves - which isn't bad with the one life limitation, but isn't too exciting. Likewise, the smaller altas tree is also feeling like a bit of a let down. The majority of it, the pinnacle trees, are doing nothing for me currently because I'm not at the end end game yet. Likewise, I'm only getting to invest perks into the smaller tree every 8 to 10 maps I run, where as in PoE1 it was nice to hunt down the maps I was missing and completing them to get the passive point every map (or every other map if I needed to try and find one I was missing from a tier). There's also a bit of divided desires while exploring the Atlas. I have a real urge to keep exploring to look for unique maps (I found one which was just a guy who gave me a free unique of my choice from a small set of options, that was fun!), or for the Faction bosses like I thought I was meant to be chasing for (although I'm starting to think they won't appear until t15 and come from a key in the realmgate). But, at the same time, MECHANICALLY I'm rewarded for juicing up towers in a cluster and running all the maps in that little juice field for more waystones and loot - diminishing the fun of exploration and looking for unique stuff. I feel like there needs to be something to do in the early end game beyond just 'run 100 maps to get you towards the end tier where all the fun stuff is). Some variety in map objectives beyond rare hunting and tower activating would be nice, too. Give me a gauntlet map or something, I dunno. |

" Please explain how PoE2's mapping system isn't an almost exact replica of LE fundamental mapping system? Both get STALE AF after a few days. There's nothing to do besides some pinnacle bosses. Just like LE.. PoE2 has a few dungeons like Simulacrum and Breachstone. LE has a few dungeons as well. Jack shit to do after completing those. The thing is, once you can do these endgame activities, your character is basically done. So you're farming for the sake of farming's intrinsic value? Fair. But where's the replayability? That's where rolling a new char comes into play. Except PoE2 has such a dreadfully long campaign, and getting your 5th-8th ascendancies are a pain in the ass. Yeah, most people don't make a whole new char to grind gear for. |

" You do know that google's recommendation algorithm shows you things that you already believe to increase engagement time right? They know that if you are frustrated/angry, you will spend more time browsing. So things that further entrench your position and affirm your beliefs, leads to more ad revenue in their pocket. Oh and also a fair bit of social upheavel, but who cares about society AMIRIGHT. Two different people can type the same three words into the search and end up with very different results based on your psychographic profile it created for you, your household, your neighborhood, etc. -------- Anyways, I have no quams with the rest of your post. Its well structured and attempts to provide solutions and also some useful and positive feedback. Last edited by Inquisitor_Tyr#2394 on Dec 19, 2024, 11:23:05 PM
