💡⚠️ Dev Feedback - Endgame is FAILING

The end game of Poe2 is where the game falls off for many players. A quick google of “poe2 endgame is (insert bad, sucks, terrible, etc.) will show multiple thread reviews , Reddit posts , and YouTube videos explaining in detail why the systems are boring / not engaging etc.

⚙️ Suggested fix - make it so you don’t kill the bosses in seconds, the need to screen clear waves before they can touch you, etc. This is just poe1 at this point.

The most appealing thing about the game initially , and what set it apart was the boss mechanics and fights actually being difficult, needing to learn mechanics etc. I don’t mean trying to 1 shot the boss before they can one shot you , or simply aiming for builds that make you able to tank everything.

I’m sure others have suggestions - feel free to post them here. Speed kill wave clearing loses the sparkle of skill and grit the game initially had in playing through on normal difficulty act 1-3. Once you get into cruel you are already killing bosses in seconds , which is initially a fun feeling but steals a lot from the overall feeling of the game.

Dunno how people do that, but i don't care if junroan or whoever deletes content in x seconds... i have long and engaging boss fights in t11s because my weapon suxx cause no luck on my own and outpriced on the market...

The criticism with endgame is nothign like you describe it. Some idiot savant will always delete the endgame after 48h, but it does not represent what is happening on the average pc.

A slower game is fine of course but then also less damage for the monsters plz, tyvm and some rare kombos like proximity + life regen + whatever, nah tyvm nn that kind of slow since i need to kill it to complete the map.

They literally made the end game in a few weeks i think. They are fully aware that it is not complete. Even admitted it was not tested properly.

Just wait for updates.
The endgame is still leaps and bounds above the next 2 competitor games ive played LE and D4. It still doesn't give me that crack addict feeling that poe1 does. The one and done map mechanics and the lack of bosses (citadels feel like they dont exist) are the worst 2 parts for me.

Also I think if they want to make the game difficult they need to just make the entire game ssf. Once i started trading around t10-12 maps getting res cap is just way too easy and the lack of a crafting bench doesnt really matter anymore because people pick up mediocre rares and sell them for cheap.

The one portal thing is the best thing imo. Makes me care about dying. Before i could just get full on damage. Die, and continue.
See, it doesn't just screw over people that do glass cannons. I am a mostly hc player and i hate it.

If I made the complaint that map sustain is terrible more people may agree with me, but its only terrible if 1 and done maps are a thing. If you never die you will have 4-5 tabs full of maps. As i have right now.

If i dont die in 50 maps straight i still hate dying and losing all portals. Especailly since when i die its usually an on death effect and there may be something valuable on the ground. I lost a greater jewelers orb to an on death effect when i was still playing my titan. IF that was a mirror. IDk man thats just absolute trash.

Just because you die doesnt mean you were playing a glass cannon. Also look at it from this perspective. There is no fortify, there is no real defensive thing that melee get vs ranged that allows them to survive all of the crap you have to eat to attack monsters. Also for a lot of the mace abilities that arent auto attack there are negatives to the abilities like forcing you to move or giving a minimum of a 1.4s attack time with a billion % inc attack speed. You can play a ranged build and outside of looting you dont have to worry about on death effects. On death effects can be extremely unfair whenever you play melee specifically. Dont even get me started on the vine plant purple circle smaller than a pebble crap

Campaign, art, grafics, boss design, other things -> 10/10
New Atlas and Endgame kinda boring and long grind, progress artificially delayed.

Copy paste poe1 endgame to poe2 (but before 3.24, T17 still bad) would be a wet dream
They pieced together the end game in less than a years time. It will improve.
Most of the end-game that I've done would just involve some number tweaks.

Players are doing way too much damage. Level gap range means too much. No idea why they started player power so high when leagues will be adding more.

The empty spaces players complain about could and very likely will be room for additional league mechanics. Currently changes they've made to the game in total is a 50% hit/miss for me. I really think they need to get more skills and supports out before making any non-statistical changes.

I have 6 days played on a game that's been out for 2 weeks. I've spent all but the first 15 or so hours in the 'end game'. it needs a lot of work, but it's better than any other aarpg other than poe1
