I'm done with Path of Exile 2. Game is just too hard/tedious

Okay see you next month.

" Sounds like my luck. You dont get everything you need. You have to make due with what youre given for awhile. I had to craft most of my gear. It's not hard. I don't believe the people that say they don't get any good drops. | |

I'm glad I'm not the only one that feels this.
People enjoy games in different ways. Me? I just want to have a good experience and feel like I'm this superhero in a fantastic land. Others may find enjoyment in reading a 20+ page wiki on how to micro adjust the perfect combination of gear and skills for the perfect build. I wish there was a sweet spot where people who just want to enjoy the ARPG aspect of it without first having to take a college course in character optimization. I also find it very frustrating that I can't optimize past a point. Vendors sell crappy gear and most loot is pathetic. What then? Do I need to do a special dance and pray to Kitava something good drops after dying 20 times? At the end of the day, what is this game about? Fighting hordes and bosses, or trading gear and optimizing stats? If it's the latter, then yes, the game is tedious. |

This game seems to have serious problems with enemy level scaling and loot drops. In my first playthrough on normal, I didn't explore much and was always more or less at the required level. Mobs frequently drop yellow gears and my survivability was okay. But I didn't like my build so I started a new class, and this time I explored and as a result, always overleveled. Then the nightmare started around the final two or three maps in Act III. Mobs just don't drop yellows, I can neither keep my evasion or my energy shield up because the gears only give a pathetic amount of them. The worst part however is the weapon, I think. My weapon is around the map's level, but my character's level is 5 levels above the map, so either the game scales up the mobs so ridiculously that I experienced an enormous difficulty spike or the game scales me down so my damage appears to be lower than in previous maps.
And to those aholes that love to call others having 'skill issues', remember you can follow a guide, but that doesn't guarantee you have the same gears. A small difference in gears can make a big one in your experience. If you won't help, then shut up. This is feedback after all, and you are not GGG and you are definitely not GGG's mom, so stop defending them like you defend your kids. Last edited by wonandwonus#0768 on Dec 23, 2024, 5:46:57 AM

" Telling us he's leaving is no form of feedback. Telling us he can't get past x content is no feedback either. Sitting in HO spamming alts for 4 hours straight is peak PoE gameplay. Thanks, Chris.

it's not a "git gud" issue. Game is not hard IT'S NOT REWARDING!!!! im speed running campeign with multiple characters now. i grabed items from TRADE. After good weapons and couple armors than u walking in the park. just upgrade ur items when u feel weak. Without trading game is just trash. With ur first exalt pls go trade site and buy a weapon for your class its the "VISION" for poe 2 now.

" Are you sure in the de facto essay he wrote, he only mentioned he can't pass the level? Nothing about the map's backtracking? Nothing about sorc's difficulty in early game? |
|
" Spot on. PoE 2 is more handicapping than anything else. Gems dont level up with experience is a handicap No current crafting system is a handicap No free use of support gems is a handicap. Not promoting creativity like in PoE 1 is a handicap. Game is not hard, its pure evil and tedious. |
