How to make currency on the trade website.
" Yeah gold is not tradeable at all. It's bound to your account, so the amount of gold you have is basically an indicator of how much you've played recently. That's why they put a gold cost on the Currency Exchange. To stop bots from using it infinitely at lvl2. Last edited by Toforto#2372 on Dec 18, 2024, 9:56:10 PM

" There are workarounds for those rich in ex orbs, although admittedly trading for gold does take a little more legwork and social connection. One example: Join guild, tell guildie's you'll buy 1 tradescreen of level 60+ blue junk for X exulted orbs, 1 tradescreen of level 60+ yellow junk for 3X exulted orbs. Sell that junk at vendor. BOOM, you just traded EX orbs for gold. Everyone comes out ahead. Guildies got more value for their junk than they would get deconstructing or selling at vendor, you found a way to turn EX orbs into gold. The truth is although you can slow down some of the bad behavior on the trading post, as long as player to player direct trading is unrestricted the determined and enterprising will find ways to abuse it. (this doesn't mean GGG shouldn't try and slow down the bad behavior though) Last edited by pattw555#0071 on Dec 18, 2024, 9:59:36 PM

My 2 arguments FOR the current system:
- The current system let's me live search while I play the game. An auction house would require me to sit in town not playing. That's much preferable IMO - If you think botting is bad now you need to accept that it would get exponentially worse with a WoW style auction house. This is objective reality and opinions are irrelevant to the fact. Unless GGG can make the first game in history where botting and trade don't coexist it will always be a fact. system that lets me play while having 6 tabs live searching AND significantly limits the power of RMT bots? Yes please. |
