Trading is full of scammers, price fixers and bots. Awful system.

Auction house was for a long time rejected in PoE 1 with the reason "We want trade to be limited" .. After many years, we finally have a controlled/limited way of trading currency by design, not by annoying players.

Please consider this for items as well.

Current experience of trading is already the same as PoE 1.
Price fixers, scammers, bots. It's toxic, it's horrible. It ruins the game.

By all means limit it if you want, adjust as necessary. But please do something about it.

Ideas:
+ An NPC set in hideout where you list your items and others can come and buy it off the vendor. Website item found will have a link to teleport you to that hideout. You can set a limit of how many items the NPC can be selling at one point or put a gold cost to it.

+ A unique code linked to website item that you enter ingame and buy the item.
Again, can be limited (or not) by gold/space/time.

Completely agree I have already said and many others have. An Auction hall is required to stop all the price fixing.

I do there there is a sync bug where people change the price in their sell tab but the GGG site does not update the new price. I have people whisper me for almost two hours have I changed an Item (I didnt know I had put it up for 1 ex instead of the 1 Div it should have been). I just ignored after telling the 5th person it was the wrong price.

I think part of the issue is that in POE1 Gold for the Currency exchange is eaten by Kingsmarch.

In POE2 I have 1 million gold. Like there is nothing to spend it on now other then gamble and respect.

The limiting factor for the Currency exchange was limited gold. POE2 does not have that.

But in all due seriousness, yeah, GGG should probably add an auction house.

Don't have the link right now but 10 months ago GGG did an interview where they talked a bit about trade.

Their stance on in game buyouts/auction houses has softened over the years.

I think it's fairly likely we see an in game auction house added during early access.

They had some interesting hints around how they'd set it up to control inflation and many of the other problems in game auction houses bring. I think it's pretty likely we'd see it launch with significant gold taxes and listing limits, both of which feel reasonable.
