Viewerbase is plummeting on platforms, market reception is negative
"arcade game", was searching for that term. thanks.
poe 2 is a pure controller game, yes. it's been pretty clever of ggg to explain the removal of most movement skills which can be best played with a mouse with a intended slowdown of the game age and treachery will triumph over youth and skill!

" I remember seeing a Chain support drop in a permanent allocation Fellshrine group and being soooooooo jealous that it wasn't for me. PoE2 is a great tutorial for PoE1.

" Also, that 400K is mostly composed of people who don't even understand what a "season" is. They will freak out once they realize their character isn't permanent and they have to run the campaign again. Can't wait for the "I SPENT 50 HOURS" posts lol | |
Game is good. No one is required to play endgame to enjoy it. In D2 when the game got too hard for my character, I made a new one. If i ever progressed all the way through on the hardest difficulty, it was the exception to most of my characters. For me, this style of game is all about seeing how far I can get before I need to go back and try to do it better. And, yeah, people complained hard on the D2 forums constantly. Game is still legendary.

At this point, the game just feels like a Diablo II Mod / Clone blended with Isomorphic Souls-like concepts to me. Original Diablo II beats this hands down, and Dark Souls easily beats the this hands down in terms of the core game story and lore.
To describe it in those terms the obvious conclusion is that there's nothing much that feels original or innovative in PoE2. The campaign needs a lot more flesh on the bone. The story needs far more depth. The best thing the community can do is come up with ideas, stories, artwork, characters for the campaign, because it's super weak right now. |

" Who expects early access characters to transfer in online games?????? It's not even like they will be wiped just not moved to live. Anyone playing ARPGs at this point understands what seasons are. Like sure maybe there a handful of ppl who've never played POE or d3/4 but they would be a minority for sure. |

" Not entirely sure Early Access games are for everyone. They tend to be buggier than the final release, they tend to have mechanics that are unrefined and content that's still cooking. And while there are plenty of issues with PoE2, I'd rather they stick to their guns and not turn into the same brain-dead, follow-the-guides, buy-your-gear, win-the-game playstyle. We already have that. They'll improve QoL for ascendencies trials for sure (even if today's was, apparently a dud). They'll balance skills (sometimes making builds that relied on buggy mechanics obsolete, but it is what it is). I sure as hell hope that the PoE1's power-creep/brain-freeze combo will take another decade to fully manifest itself. |

Pretty sure I'll revert back to PoE when there is a new league though. I just enjoy crafting too much.
