I can’t believe people are making weirder and weirder suggestions instead of pushing devs to add a native in-game filter.

What an awful take. People are asking for online filters because they were a thing in PoE1, and because they want to play with a filter. If they were to add a way to make your own filters in-game, that would take infinitely more time than adding something that was already a feature in the previous game. Don't get me wrong, I would love a way to make my own filters in-game, but I would much rather have the ability to play with a filter in the current state versus waiting for them to build that.

Not an awful take, a realistic one. Having to use third party loot filters only serves to add another level of unnecessary complexity to the base game already known for its massive knowledge ceiling. New players aren’t gonna bother with it, and gonna suffer for it.

And it is in GGGs best interest to reduce user pain points as much as possible.

And your comment about it taking away too much time from development is misinformed. The game can already read the filters. All the devs need to do is make a graphic interface for it. It’s really not that difficult. I reckon a senior dev could do it in under a week.

In fact, what you’re all suggesting is probably going to take more of their development time. Because that means they need to develop API for the game to hook into their website and then make the user interface on the website to access and control it. That’s a lot harder to do.

L take, NeverSink filter is all you ever will need and it was already supported on PoE1. It would take no time to implement the same sytem (which already is on PoE2 btw, it just isnt working yet).

You're entitlted to your opinion but youre going to keep getting ratio'd cause you're wrong. Maybe you never tried NeverSink online sync or idk. But L take..

Good luck in the game tho friend!!
Please add this ggg.
It is terrible clearing maps with no loot filter. Especially on console where picking up items isn't as easy as clicking with a mouse.

Currently the game feels like a worse version of poe 1 in maps.

Still a garbage take.

You're playing Path of Exile and your argument lies around complexity? FilterBlade (or other third parties) aren't the only way to make filters; you are not forced to use them to make filters. On top of that, new players don't NEED filters; it's not some mandatory feature for them, so it's fine if they don't bother. Plus, most people just slap on a strictness level from NeverSink that they like and then forget about it (zero complexity).

The game's been out for ages and we still don't have an in-game filter creator. You claim it'd take a week, but it hasn't happened; you clearly don't grasp the complexities involved unless you're at GGG, in which case, get on it and prove it can be done in a week.

On top of all that, everyone in this thread, and others, just wants to play with a filter like they did in PoE1 using GFN/Console. They're not asking for something new.

So yeah, L take, you can't read the room, and if it was that simple, GGG would've done it ages ago. It would be cool to have, but I just want to play with a filter, man.

I’m well aware I’m in Path of Exile forums with people who haven’t taken a shower since the last 1k hours they spent on PoE1 and who don’t know any better. But PoE 2 is a new game built in a new and improved engine, meant for a wider audience. And new players like me are going to come and wonder wtf is going on here.

A better alternative is possible, but you would rather refuse it outright without question. Just take a look at Last Epoch’s loot filter and tell me why we can’t have that.

It's not that we can't have it, it's just not implemented; which again, is not the point of this post. People just want the ability to use a filter, which they can't right now. Simple as.

I don't understand the point of insulting the playerbase of 1 versus 2, but you do you. It's just a request for online loot filter, and here you are taking stabs at people and claiming people are making weird requests for wanting to use a filter.
daily bump until ggg replys or implements
I've got Neversink's new barebones filter and it is AWESOME. I didn't realise how much I needed a filter until I got one.

+1, just say something at least. How has there been no communication on this? There's a 40 page thread on the console section about the exact same problem and GGG's said nothing.
