Why PoE2 is the BEST ARPG i have ever played (lvl 91 in SC SSF so far)
" You mean that Ruthless in poe1 is great? i havent tryed it |

" What I meant is people who say poe2 is the best and perfect right now, would still say the same thing, if GGG imported poe1 to poe2 and made some meaningful fixes instead of going full Ruthless mode. And yes to your question, poe2 is almost identical to poe1 ruthless, which not many people liked and played. That's why I'm saying people are praising poe2 right now mostly because it looks good and it's something new. If it was just graphical updates and improvements over poe1, they would still be playing it and calling it the best game. |

" As far as I understand poe1 will still be maintained. And I believe poe1 and poe2 are made in same proprietary engine, that means that evolving graphics of poe1 is just a matter of time. I think GGG will update visuals of poe1 after releasing poe2 |

" If they did that, I think they'd lose a lot of players to poe1 as %99 of the playerbase wanted the game to look better instead of it being completely Ruthless. I feel like most people are playing it because it's obviously a fresh game and there's nothing else to play. I don't think half of them are having fun while playing it, including me. I'm 72 and still playing with a 3L spell due to not looting any jeweller's orb and not getting any decent drops to sell to afford to get both items and jeweller's orbs at the same time. One of my friend looted 2 jeweller's orb when he was around 50 and he's been playing with 4L spells and his experience was much more different than mine. I've been struggling the whole game due to scarcity and never really got decent rewards enough to make exalts to my character run through at least low level maps. I keep playing it because I want to beat it, not because I'm having fun and it's a very mixed feeling. Pausing the game every minute, getting distracted, slowly losing interest. To be honest minion builds are easy mode. Go play some melee then let's review the expirience again :D

1. Acquiring jewelers orbs are too hard. It makes SSF just not fun. The only reason i am not playing SSF is how hard to get 5/6l skills. It is way harder than in PoE1. So what was the reason to remove links, again?
2. Trading is ruining game experience if you are on standard trade league. It doesn't feel the same as in PoE1. Here you can just buy bunch of 2x res items with hp for 1-5ex and swing through the content. PoE nowadays looks more and more like a fan-made fork server with tons of custom weird experimental stuff rather than original game with carefully thought out balance brough live to players. " Is there are problem to lose players to poe1? Same company, same money. Thats only brings more people to games |
![]() |
" Yea, thats why I invested in stash tabs and playing Hardcore SSF. Stash really helps with gear |

" Exactly. If I'd ever play this game on release, I'd never play anything other than a minion build. I'm not insane. |

" Really? PoE 2 was easier for you to grasp than PoE 1? That's surprising, I'm sure it cannot be related to the fact you spent over 8800 hours in PoE 1 building up knowledge. The only real thing that makes PoE 2 "easier" is the fact you have a lot less versatility, less options and less things to do. That's not a good thing, that's a bad thing. " I thought you didn't need a guide in PoE 2? What happened? " I never had problems with map sustain in PoE 1 and I never looked at any content creator's atlas. Tbh, I really dislike doing that, I want to think of my own solutions. Not sure what you were doing to suffer from map sustain issues. Even alch and go wasn't any problems. It's great that you enjoy PoE 2, but please, be fair if you're going to compare. You're using 8800 hours of knowledge from PoE 1 and applying it to PoE 2 and saying it's easier. well duuh. |
