Why PoE2 is the BEST ARPG i have ever played (lvl 91 in SC SSF so far)
Hey thanks for getting lost in my thread, for starter's i am sorry i'm tired and Engligsh is not my native language.
Also i didn't come up with any of the mechanics by myself, i just used what i saw on different content creators guides or videos. Lets begin with Proof i'm having fun
Spoiler
![]() I used to think PoE 1 was the best ARPG there is, enjoyed since closed beta(over 8k hours on steam and used to play without steam since long patch times) Proof
Spoiler
![]() I have had so much fun in PoE1 that i could make such memes in NecroSettlers League (Proof in my profile page with the voided character)
Spoiler
![]() But why PoE2 is better? The learning curve was so much easier than PoE1 used to be, mainly thanks to great content creators the community has. Even though my first 2 days i was struggling stuck in Act 1 Normal. (went in semi blind) After i finally managed to conquer my challenges (at the moment it was extremely bad build, gear and gems i had picked due to 0 planning on what to do. Compared to PoE1 where my 1st character got stuck in act 2 due to horrible build etc etc etc.. At the time i thought it would be good idea to yoink first streamers build i saw and looked fun, well it didn't go much further so i quit and came back later to the game. The early endgame where i feel my char is at is extremely fun due to ability to scale extremely hard content with atlas passives (and bad skill level/gear still lots to improve). Small bossing example of my accounts current state https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g8ZbbabF9As The ascension feels extremely rewarding due to character power and difficulty (gear and skill) to aquire them. At first i was extremely bad when i thought my character was strong enough to do the high red maps without capping all my resistances, and having low gem levels and gear. Thanks to the amazing community i was able to find an amazing guide to build what i thought i would be fun to play and could push pretty hard content. The map sustain feels amazing compared to what PoE1 used to be for really long time. This is mainly due to having yoinked an amazing atlas tree from content creator. Proof
Spoiler
![]() Yes i am exalting and vaaling most of my maps since the currency comes at this point easily which i like. Which brings us to the next subject: High level/quality gems I have had 4 Greater Jeweller orbs and 0 Perfected Jeweller orbs, yes i know this is probably extemely unlucky, and i don't really like that the testing is hard but i quess it's due to the Trade league economies. Also i don't have all lvl 19 gems yet and Level 20 gem drops, which is quite weird maybe my character isn't ready to do the content to get them in SSF. The music and overall quality of story etc was so good i got cold shivers during some of the boss fights when the music starts ramping (when can we dl the soundtrack please?) Also the past league(s) where i started in SSF i got extremely bored after 1 week of gameplay and migrated to trade, whereas now im looking forward to what i can make next with the stuff i aquire with this character. Stuff i didn't like But will probably get much better over time. The performance on low end PC, when in poe1 i used to lagg with my friends i would turn my window resolution lower but now you guys have removed the ability to go as low as i would go easily from just the settings window
Spoiler
Compared to PoE1 where i used to run 3440 x 1440 resolution at 1080p downscaling easily sometimes having to drop to 800x600, but not having to mess with my windows resolution settings. ![]() My smooth brain just running through the story not paying attention to side content, so i spent over 2hours later backtracking and completing the zones (thanks to great content creators i think i got them all fixed) The rarity of jewelry (rings/amulets/belts) in endgame maps, still haven't even seen a 2 charm belt in my inventory ;) (Yes they extremely strong character power but really?) The modifiers being backwards WHY? It would be so nice to be like im gonna slam t1 life to this item and when high life appears you know if it's the best not quess umm maybe theres 3 more tiers? Certain community streamer being the freeground to post Leaks of the early game without any consequences? Wasn't item giveaways a ban? This is way way worse in my opinion Since streamer favouritism why would any 1 with any brain activity had watched any other streamer than him at time when there was alleged GGG staff member(s) even in the chat? Hope you guys keep making PoE2 harder instead of listening to the crybabies who cannot enter late endgame without fixing major issues with their builds first. Looking forward to what this game will achieve. Hopefully even a PvP race season idea gets revived. Last edited by rakis#1015 on Dec 15, 2024, 11:23:49 PM Last bumped on Dec 16, 2024, 5:12:54 AM

one think I dont like - to add to the list - is the Ground explosions of rare mobs on death...
Too punishing for melee. Who Are We? Where do we come from?

\o/ Hooray. Someone else taking a little break to say they enjoy the game too.
My version of fun is getting all 6 classes to endgame maps, but now I'm playing 2 characters at once with co-op controllers that didn't exist in PoE 1. My builds are entirely SSF and self-made and it's been a complete blast. Proof of controller:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6qF5k2xbdmk The Gameplay (A3 boss spoilers!): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6qF5k2xbdmk This is proof the game is not too hard, and melee not impossible. I'm a decent gamer, but not the best and definitely too much a scrub to enjoy hardcore. I'm on the last 2 classes now. Only one so far that was shocking/disappointing is bloodmage, but it came around later and just felt sad had to unspec ascendency for a while. " i m very happy you enjoyed the game. but that comment was very unnecessary. try rolling a melee character and play as one before you go around calling people crybabies rather than just acting so high and mighty while having 0 actual experience playing other builds. oh and dont twink. i promise you, the challenge is way harder than whatever you experienced. " Holy wtf wish i had braincells to even play 1 char like ur going on 2 :O NICE! Also 6 chars wow you must enjoy the story then also. Which was so nice! looking forward to seeing more acts. Sorry Exsea didn't mean to offend anyone yes the explosions must be hard when you're not sitting at 20k overflow es behind a wall when ur minions kill the spooky rare. should have phrased that differently i totally agree they are overtuned atm like most of people in this forum area at the moment. Ty for replies guys will try to update the main post whenever some new stuff comes to my mind. |

" He's playing solo self found big guy. He's playing solo self found. 100% agree, don't listen to the IGN reviewers who want every game to be easy and everything to be free. Great game GGG has here and in time itll be even better. Step 1 is to self reflect.

I love how PoE2 is shaping up so far, and I'm sure it'll only get better.

" stop patronizing me. you CAN twink on SSF. just farm up all you need and just powerlevel yourself. one of my friends is doing just that. using awesome 2 handers he found with his main that he kept, while using lesser jewellers to give him early access to 3 supports. also he gets early access to higher level support gems too. so shut it with your big guy. " yeah the experience can be very different using different builds. melee is having it the roughest. tho its kinda weird. i actually like melee despite all its shortcomings. as for ES, its kinda in a weird spot where life builds dont have access to easily gain more life while ES has more ways to gain ES. doesnt seem to fair lol. 20k ES overflow omfg. thats bonkers. no wonder youre having such a good time! cheers [Removed by Support]

" So how about his first character without trade? Anything but admitting the problem is right there in the mirror. Step 1 is to self reflect.
