Physical Monk/Hand of Chuyula Feels Half Baked And Underpowered

Hand of Chayula is my favourite skill. how can anyone dislike it.

Applies mark + curse in one hit plus dash. It's so good.

honestly, it'd be better for both those skills and monk in general if they did require a staff, least then they'd get weapon bonuses and be useful for damage instead of pure utility

There is a keystone that gives +25% skill speed if you have an empty offhand and a one handed melee weapon. I think the intent with that one is that you can use any type of one handed martial weapon + unarmed skills in one weapon set. while leaving the other weapon set open to a different setup.

I read that differently, primarily due to where its placed (duelist/merc section). To me, its a DPS buff for not using a shield/dual-wield for when swords come out

It's certainly possible your interpretation is correct, but if so its bugged - 2x weapon sets, both with 1h weapon/no offhand, does not allow unarmed attacks currently
