Maps closing on death

The fact that you cannot go back to maps if you die in them once is the worst decision made in the development of this game, i cannot think of one good reason to have it like that, it NEEDS to be changed to the way it was in POE 1.

Yep. It's completely insane to me that anyone let this thought escape their demented mind. The fact that people agreed with this and thought it was a good idea just confirms we live in the Hell timeline.

i did not like it at first, but after building endless defenses its kinda okish.

but i deleted a LOT of my maps i needed to progress - and the node is basically useless too (it gets all modifiers removed)

so either its no exp penalty or the map is not deleted. both is quite the time-waster
Considering how easy it is to die suddenly, for example just because all the effects obscuring the view enough so you miss something that one shots you, it is insane that GGG thought is was in any way a good idea to be able to do maps in one go only.
And the frustration it causes when you see something valuable drop and then to die to something like that.
It's supposed to counter people who just zergrush on with no regards to risk, because they have 5 extra portals if they happen to die.

Wait, what?
I thought I would have like 6 tries or something for the map like in PoE1. 1 strike and you are out, or what?

That's right, if you die in a map that's it, the map closes, and if you have a buddy with you and he dies, then he is out, you can't revive him.
I think GGG need to chang it realy fast...
It would not be nearly as bad if most things didn't kill you in a blink of an eye.

The combination of one life maps with low waystone drops and very high monster damage is recipe for frustration. Something in the equation needs to change.

They could do this by making the entire game ssf and the average player will only have 20-30 res most of the time for the first couple weeks.
