Please add 2 more gem slots. Not enough room for Monk Skills.

So you want us to use the mechanics. Monk for example: Killing Palm, Stunning Palm, then activate the Lightning buff w our power charges (another gem slot), and also encourage use to use 2 heralds with those amazing +50% damage herald nodes on the skill tree, and you want us to use that cursing palm that can apply 2 curses to a target, and at the same time our main skills.... like the bell + a flurry or ice strike... and then an AOE because it makes sense... and... well you get the picture.

Not ENOUGH gem slots.

I don't see why you need to apply any restrictions at all? What is the point? Why do we have CTRL + keybindings available if there aren't enough skill slots anyway?

I want to use Many Skills which is what your vision for the game encouraged but you're holding me back?

I kind of feel like I should just drop a herald and just have more fun by putting more skills on my tab.


PLEASE let us play the game the way that we want to play it.

Right now: My character feels less interesting and gameplay has become worse because my lightning monk can use only one Palm ability in this setup unless i take off a 2nd herald. And I'm missing out on the fun Ice Bombs that I was using before. Other options are also eliminated.

P.S. Other monks have claimed the same issue and end up making a concession. No player should have to imo. Classes like this are designed around combos and you are limiting how many combos we can run.

Iv seen no other monks saying this. Im currently playing monk and have a few skill slots left empty waiting for more spirit for auras.

Id be curious to know what skills are taking up all this space
I also struggle with the skill slot amount. Even 1 extra would solve my monk build having to constantly swap for bosses vs maps.
i get bored if i use just a few abilities. but also for the sake of playing the class to it's fullest potential more slots would be needed.

i had to simplify my char and i am stuck with this:

2 slots for spirit stuff.

i forget the names but... Flurry attack, then Vaulting leap, then Lightning strike (teleports to them), then on the 2nd bar: Ice Locust. Then Charged Staff (another passive thing similar to spirit). then Bell. then something else. and that's it'. no more gem slots.

i'm missing and would like: lightning orb which would enhance all my lightning skills. Stunning palm and killing palm (both very useful vs rares and bosses).

I don't think I need any more gem slots as monk. Could I find a use for more? Certainly. But need? Nah. I have adequate engagement tools for anything I need to do, lots of mobility, strong AoE, and good on-demand burst as Invoker.

You can get two additional skill slots RIGHT NOW.

Rings drop with additional skill slots as an affix, go snag a few from the trading site.

Unset Rings? That's an Implicit. But yes, that's a thing.

i shouldn't have to do that. and that ring will take up the place of a ring i actually want to use.... what a shame. but ty for telling me. maybe i will have to get it to enjoy the game more...

No, the fact that you can get more gem slots on rings should tell you that the design intent is for you to not have every skill and choose your skills based on the damage, defense, and mobility needs of your character. The rings exist to give players a little leeway, but even with them, you still cannot have every skill for one weapon equipped, much less two different weapon types.

You're meant to think about and choose which abilities to take with you in your build. That hasn't changed from the original PoE. You need to consider what combat niches you need to fill, which of the skills available to you fits those niches best, and which ones you can do without.

It's just like gear -- you have a limited number of equipment slots in order to impose limits on your character. If you want to sacrifice some defense/utility (ring implicits) to get more skill slots, you need to determine if that's a beneficial decision.

This is a layer of complexity in how the game works, it's core to the design.
