That’s a pretty weak argument. It’s a balance thing, point is the option is there to have the additional slots, and there is a trade off.

I’m a sorc, I have to have a bunch of gear with +mana regen for my build and spells to work. That gear “takes up the place of something I actually want to use” but I need it for my build so I use it instead.

You can basically make the argument of EVERYTHING in the game.

I’m sure grenadier Mercs would like to have the x-box that fires two grenades at once “just be the default” because right now they’re “forced” to use those X-bows “instead of the one they actually want to use”.

See how there’s basically no end to that logic?
