GGG please fix this, I am begging you!

I keep getting PC freezes throughout the day. I have to force my PC to shut down because nothing works anymore and this is 100% caused by Path of Exile 2.
It usually happens if I try to enter a new zone like a map for example.

I've tried everything I can to see what might cause the problem but nothing helps.

I got 3 monitors and 1 TV paired with my PC, removing 3 of them and leaving me with 1 monitor did not help.

I thought it could be a memory issue, so I tried playing the game by itself, with all other applications closed such as browsers, other games etc. Did not help.

I downgraded from 64GB of ram to 32GB ram, that also did not help.

My PC works fine in any other application, just freezes with PoE2.

My setup:
- Nvidia RTX 4090
- Nvidia most recent driver update installed
- Ryzen 7800x3D
- Most recent BIOS update installed for my motherboard
- 32GB / 64GB DDR4 Ram
- Running the game on Steam off of a 4TB M.2 SSD Samsung 990 PRO
- Windows 11 latest update

Oh and changing realms also does nothing.

I've tried: Amsterdam, Paris, Frankfurt, Milan

The standalone client is on a 8TB Samsung SATA SSD.

Both, the Steam version and the Standalone version have these complete system freezes.

Please help me

Edit: Changing HDR setting in game and in Windows 11 also doesn't do anything.

I have the same issue and have no idea how to diagnose it, since the full system freezes I can't even see any process analysis.

It usually happens a couple of times a day at least. But then I could go multiple hours without it happening. Doesn't have any noticeable reason.
Same here, sometimes it won't occur for hours, and I can play without any problems.

The uncertainty of not knowing which loading screen will be my last one and entirely freeze my PC is so annoying.
To my understanding GGG's game engine doesn't handle an overclocked system well. Try to run your system at base/underclocked speeds (I do that too). No crashes since, cpu and gpu even only runs at 20 and 50-60% respectively on highest setting in POE2 -> smooth sailing thus far.
We don't need the extra volts/power to run POE2 from our OC.

It could also help (for some) to increase the shader cache from 4gb to 100gb on nvidea gpu's.

specs

Cpu: Intel i7-14700K (turbo = 5.6ghz -> runs at base of 3.4ghz)
Ram: 32gb (5600mhz -> runs at 4800mhz)
GPU: RTX 4070 Ti Super
Storage: M2-980pro - 2TB Samsung
Motherboard: Asus Z790-plus (wifi)

Have you checked if your Win is at version 24H2? If it is, then there is your reason.

I've just changed my shader cache from 10GB to 100GB I hope this will do the trick, but I highly doubt it tbh.

My RTX4090 and 7800x3D are not overclocked both are running at default/stock settings

This is from GGG under the poe2 bug forum, they list it as high priority, so hope it can be fixed soon. I get the freezes too.

Yeah, I've installed Windows 11 24H2 just recently. I had 23H2 prior to that.

But this cannot be the reason why I am getting freezes, because I do not get freezes with anything else. It occurs only while playing PoE2

It is good to know that they are aware of the problem. I hope it'll get fixed as soon as possible. That is the only thing I dislike about PoE2, to be honest.

Others are complaining about the harsh difficulty, not getting enough loot, their OP builds getting nerfed, and so on. I don't mind any of that. I freaking love this game as it is right now. Just these dam* freezes, man :( A little Johnny dies in me every time I have to press the power button on my PC to forcefully turn it off and on again.
