Path of RMT

The scarcity of early/midgame currency/item/crafting will lead to even more RMT than Poe1.

Never had issues with currency and gearing up in poe1 thanks to cheap twink items but if Poe2 stays exactly like it is today, luck and your build/class playing an insanely huge factor in early/midgame will definitely cause more RMT than poe1.

Most of my friends already did RMT to skip the difficulty very early while I'm still struggling in level 1/2 maps, trying not to die, kiting everything.

You're in the first week of an Early Access stage of game development that will take six to twelve months to complete. With the current state of the game and the healthy cash flow, I'd opt for eighteen months to make a better product. At the end of which none of the EA characters or items will be on the main live server (and thus, forever outside of the game's "economy").

Anyhow: if you can't see how insane your post is, your friends RMTing for gear and how much the developers are probably not interested in you playing the game (even your Metrics will hamper them since you're buying your way past any difficulty curve thus rendering their efforts to read metrics harder) I cannot help you.

Exalts currently drop more frequently for new characters and PoE exchange rates are completely irrelevent to the game (which you would know if you actually play and don't RMT & get carried through the story).

Your claim that your friends paid $50-100 for this experience (using items no doubt farmed from extremely broken builds) just adds schadenfreude to the situation.

To repeat: no character or items will go to the live 1.0 server on launch. So... why are you worried?

Please rethink your priorities and touch grass.

I was going to reply but realized how delusional your reply was.

“ggg is not interested in you”
“Touch grass?”
“Rethink your priorities?”
“The game is EA” even though I stated “if the scarcity exactly stays like today”

Guess it’s some kind of a drug

Never got decent enough items even for myself in the first 4-5 days, wasn’t lucky with crafting either.
Stop and farm some areas, its more like d2, you can farm bosses, no need to endlessly grind for endgame.

It takes a special kind of delusion to imagine that in a whole year "scarcity will remain the same" when they have already altered currency and item drop rates twice in the first week.

Currency and item rates having been altered twice in the first week might suggest that in the next twelve months this might also reoccur: But I suppose that is a fantastical thought in the wildest realms of improbability.

I'm sure your fear that the entire game will remain static for that period and in fact will launch with identical parameters is much more likely to happen.

Guess we found one of those spending $50-100. Hope it made you feel good inside. But you'll be bored for the next twelve months with no more content to do.

Utter garbage.

Only certain currencies and item drop rates have been altered

You don't know it either and still argue over a hypothetical which I stated as "if", which the outcome could also be true since GGG wanted this game to be Ruthless and different from poe1 base game.

You just need to be less defensive over a video game and tell people to "get their priorities straight" and "touch grass" because it's nothing to do with what kind of experience people having in-game.

You don't need to be an advocate of every single thing if the things went better in your end.

I can honestly tell you that I've been playing lighting sorc since the start and the first time I saw a +x to lightning spells item on a weapon was when I traded for it around lvl 65.

Until I got it from poe/trade, no shops, no drops, no crafting had a +x to lighting spells on a wand. I spent many currencies just to get decent stats on a good blue base, but never succeded.

My friend told me that he got a jeweller's orb around 50, I'm currently lvl 70 and doing maps, haven't seen a single one yet except lesser jeweler's orb. Still using a 3 link main spell because of that fact. Never had enough exalteds to trade anyways, due to using some of it on crafting and some on small trades.

Alright, I checked, and yea... apparently people are selling stuff for sums of money in early access and on standard. I think if anybody does buy it off them they need to admit they have a problem and check themselves into some manner of gaming rehab.
