Death Penalty above Fun is an asinine approach
|
I whole-heartedly agree with the OP, Removing loot, removing exp is fucki** ridiculous. The reason I will stop playing a League in POE one is the blatant disrespect of my time the exp on death penalty creates. I spend time in the game to have fun and get better. I order to learn a fight i have to try it but if i die then I lose exp, which is time.
So far POE 2 game play is good but the Ascendency trials, at least for me are way way over tuned I mean every other Mob in the Trial of Chaos is a Blue mob. The abilities on Sorceress just do not do ENOUGH DAMAGE!! The disrespect of a player's time is really really annoying with exp loss, but coupling that with loss of loot and on Death effects.. You gotta be kidding. Last edited by Malmatik#2101 on Dec 14, 2024, 10:41:02 PM

" Really feels like the devs just don't respect the players who are trying to improve the game with some of these design decisions |

Is there even a reason to have multiple death penalties?
What are the reasons for each penalty? Why are they there? has GGG answered any of these questions? |

" The main reason is to piss people off and make them quit I think. No reasonable or sane person thinks "let's make this intentionally as punishing as possible and call it "fun"" Literally no other game does this, GGG just thinks they can get away with it or something idk, no idea how this was play tested or if it even was, I feel like they would've had insane push back if it were implemented then |

" "Genre-defining" but in all the wrong ways |
