having a hard time logging back into poe2

So you are mad you have to spend extra travel points to get to EE? Now im really confused.

the stans are ridiculous.

what i said is that not being able to zoom out to get a proper view of the whole tree, so you can adequately plan is very poor design.

i also said that the inability to bookmark nodes for future allocation is very poor design.

The passive tree is still the biggest barrier to drawing people into the game. It's offputting. Second to it is the fact that weapons are linked to skills instead of classes. Third is which support gems work with which skills. Understanding the strength of the system took longer for me than I'd like to admit.

these are what makes the game. its like saying the fact that vodka gets you drunk is a barrier to entry for the drink.

if these 3 things are a barrier to someone getting into the game then good, they were not supposed to be in here. the game correctly explained to them that it wasnt their sort of game.

as for the op, just go use a build planner. the devs dont mind 3rd party tools, theres a skill tree on this website you can plan your build in, theres one 100x better on a website like maxroll you can use.

they dont buy into all this "oh 3rd party is bad i have moral outrage because 3rd party" stuff. they think 3rd party is great, it can do some things better than they can and it gives them more time to spend making the game. if you want advanced trade tools and build planning then just use the tools out there.

just plug ur points in, save/screenshot it and get on getting on. eventually PoB will come out for PoE2. anyone who wants to sulk because its 3rd party just needs to get over themselves already, as if you didnt use a 3rd party tv guide to find out what was on tele back in the day for goodness sake. deal with it.
I love all you people on the forums, we can disagree but still be friends and respect each other :)

How far out do you need to zoom? At full zoom out, focused around your "grid", you see almost a 1/4 of the whole tree. Why do you care to see whats so far beyond your points grasp/progress that's so inconvenient to just slide around the tree a bit?

i would like to see the whole tree at full zoom out. there is literally 0 reason why this isnt the case.

if you are trying to plan a way to snag EE on a sorceress its impossible with current zoom.

i would like the tree to work like this:

https://poeplanner.com/

like that. granted thats for poe 1, but you can see what i mean, full zoom out, and highlights the shortest path to any node on mouseover, its really nice, super convenient and way overdue, again, you guys are poe experts, i thought this tree was supposed to be approachable for new players, if that's the case, its failing. im not a poe expert, i still need to be able to see what nodes lead to where in order to get to the keystone i want.
