PoE 2 is... not fun.
I know your a POE veteran, most of us are around here I think. I do respect your voice, so I read your post. I get it. There is something missing.
Is it the atlas? Is it the fact that we have so few viable end game builds? Is it nerfs? Is it much needed buffs? Implement massive diminishing returns after 100IIR? I dunno. It feels slower. No flask choice. Everything's simplified but in a good way sometimes? Almost? I get it completely. I don't like the weird cutting of gems. We should stick to a skill/spell based game for sure. Why not just use the leveling system of gems from poe1 - but with the added convenience of being able to set to auto-level up or not like on the ps4? That was super fun to mess around with. There is a perfect game somewhere in here, we will find it. We just gotta stay vocal. In the end they want a game that everyone will play so we gotta keep trying if we really want this to win. If your tired of pushing, I understand. It is hard. |

The core game design of POE2 is not fun and I cannot imagine a future where it suddenly becomes fun.
Just stop playing, stop hoping. In a few years come back and if it doesn't suck be surprised and enjoy. I don't think it's worth giving feedback. The core systems are worse than poe1 at a fundamental level and they aren't going to revert gems, portals, movement skills, or anything else on short notice. I'd also be willing to bet they aren't going to go back on death resets or ascendancy respec. Path of exile 2 is an attempt to reinvent the wheel and it fails in every respect. |

The campaign is a blast and very enjoyable - it's exactly how I assumed PoE 2 will be like - slower progress, more methodical combat. I brought several chars through the campaign in both SSF & SSF HC, and had fun every time.
Endgame is quite barebone tho and it de-evolves back into PoE 1; 'you either oneshot packs (or whole screen) or they oneshot / swarm you'. The campaign & endgame are like two different worlds. What tires me most in endgame is slogging through fixed map layouts I don't want to play (which is more than half of them), to get to the ones I want. Running white T1 waystones on bad layouts / empty nodes, due to efficiency - quite boring. Bosses are too scarce. I never liked ritual or delirium, so I avoid them. Strongboxes & essences are useless (Essences were the best thing in PoE 1 for SSF). I have no idea how to find 'citadels'... Crafting is barebone too and I don't like that I have to prioritize 'item rarity' on all my gear. I chuckle when I'm rolling like a sack of potatoes, trying to avoid all the spam that mobs throw at you in maps, while every monster in the game is twice as fast as my char... :)) --- But I'm sure the experience will be improved over the months. It's still to early to throw the towel. PoE 2 is definitely inferior to PoE 1 in several segments (eg.: endgame, crafting), therefore it will have to be improved. When night falls

Im sorryy GGG,but poe2 is just dogshit. Why 8 can cruise through act 1 with lightning arrow,but act 1 boss is just bug on bug on to another bug with hotbox from ice whatever it's called. I've spent money in this game hoping it's go8ng to be good,but it's dogshit

The thing that actively kills the fun for me is doing everything according to the vision and being punished every step of the way for it, meaning my access to tools to solve those problems slips further and further away. Meanwhile, I put on a youtube clip of a streamer obliterating maps with 1 click farming tons of endgame gear and currency and it is absolutely clear that respecting the vision is the wrong way to play this game.
If you want to 'enjoy' the systems of the game you have to find the single fastest blaster build and farm out the top endgame so that you have room to experiment with 'vision' builds using real gear instead of garbage. Knowing this, it feels like my time was wasted and even disrespected. |

" sums it up pretty good, i feel the same way. lots of the changes to poe1 are feeling like they were only changed for the sake of changing things. jonathan obviously dont like poe1, so everything has to change because everything in poe1 is bad, isnt it? in the end everything but visuals is worse than in po1. i dont mind changing things, but if you have something good and fun, dont change it if you dont have something better. if you have to shower your maps with checkpoints, the layouts suck(no its not about we need more interesting things in them, they suck). if you have to check vendors every lvl to get some gear, its also a red flag in a hack and slay thats about looting stuff from monsters. its a shame that 4.0 expansion was promised and nearly 1 year without a new league was delivered. they should have sticked to their initial plan, maybe chris would be still there then.
