Why did you create the Chronomancer ascendancy?

90 chronomancer here. I think that ascendancy is very good honestly. I’m playing as CI flameblast/ember fusillade blasting t15 corrupted. Didn’t die a single time after switching to ci thanks to as slow and time lapse(that one can have 2 uses which is crazy op with high ci). Yeah we are low on cd skills hopefully we are getting much more by the release but overall ascendancy is underrated and very good. I’m hc poe1 player with over 10k hours in poe1 so I know what I’m talking about. If you are struggling you can try out build I described above

Chronomancer is definitely not my style of ascendency, but I don't think its particularly weak - its just different. And to answer your question about why GGG added it - I think that is why. They wanted an entirely unique style of ascendency.

I'm not expecting all ascendencies to be perfectly balanced right now by any means. If some of them go unplayed or underplayed until a big balance change happens, that's okay.

So basically I’m full fire dmg. Flameblast with solar orb for clear. Ember fusillade with flame wall for bosses( single target dmg no OP but good enough to have fun playing). Auras are blasphemy temporal chains and enfeeble( you need some extra spirit on ammy/chest for it) self cast low lvl flammability on rares/bosses.
You need to go chaos innaculation when you get good enough gear to have like 5k+ es. Ascendancy points are action speed slow/more cast speed conditional node and time lapse when you are full energy shield. Not at pc so can’t tell all the links but on ember fusillade you run conc effect and multiple proj support. On flameblast faster casting, controlled desctruction and the rest figure out yourself( the thing is that you can get double 6l setup for both skills). It’s a fast description for players who played poe before, can’t rly type a good guide from phone atm

I'm playing an electrocute lighting chronomancer mostly due to a unique and my damage is very high + I stun half the screen almost immediately, combined with the time rewind on myself I am immortal so long as no oneshots happen. Cast speed skills for high burst dps, time stop.

Chronomancer is a fun ascendancy to use, it is a generalist you can use for anything (try it as melee, we lack weapons atm but in the future) since it is not really just for spellcasting.

I'm having a blast with the ascendency from just Temporal Rift alone. Zero regrets.

Apex of the Moment seems bugged, but slowing enemies by 20% is something I'm looking forward to when it's fixed.

Currently trying out chaos DOT chronomancer, hopefully it pans out well with Time Freeze or Apex. But even if it doesn't, Temporal Rift carries this ascendancy (or that's just my copium)
