3rd and 4th Ascendancies are near impossible
Just my opinion but I think that any "trial" that is actually harder than completing the game on cruel is overtuned and missing the point of risk Vs reward...
We're not talking loot here Ascendancies are meant to make the game easier.... So in making some of them harder than completing the game.... what should the power obtained by ascendancies be used for? Beat ascendancy trials? It's like hiding the most powerful weapon in an RPG behind the game's Super Secret boss... what are you going to use said weapon on when you've already beaten the hardest content in the game? Likewise how are ascendancies going to make the game easier when the trials are (sometimes) the hardest content in the game? It's backward gamedesign Just to be clear.... My DoT/Curse focused witch had beaten the game on normal.... but consistently fails at all the trials... meaning the trials are harder than the hardest boss in the normal acts.... So I should go back for them when I have some cruel acts under my belt I guess... Which means I'll end up stumped on the cruel trials... Which means I go back once I'm at maps... What am I going to use those powers on.... there's content beyond maps ? See how this doesn't make sense GGG? Last edited by AshPrinner#1517 on Dec 14, 2024, 11:52:13 AM

" I agree, it's more fun to learn yourself. Just will take couple of more attempts before you win the fight, but it is more fun this way. |

You need honor resistance. Then the trails are easy, but after the last floor bugged 3 tiems for me, I do not want to do this again, EVER

It's horrible doing this on a melee, people need to realise that not everyone has 45k hours invested and are god tier players. It's too hard.

They didn't communicate this well but given the way people are "farming" this content for exalts, it indicates:
1. Completing 3rd and 4th trials are aspirational content most players aren't expected to achieve. 2. If you can achieve it consistently, you can profit from it because of 1. It's the new 5-way carry from POE1. Getting lucky and completing it is one thing, having a build (or the right sanctum relics) that can do it with near 100% success rate is an entirely different matter. |

I am an invoker monk basic build 4/4 Ascendancy
For 3rd I did Sekhema, Make sure you do a 2 Floor sekhema to unlock the relic slots before trying 3 floor barya. with 83% honour resist in relics and a base honour of 4.5k, This makes it much harder to lose your honour fast, if your melee just focus on more damage and kill Floor 2/3 Bosses before they manage to burn through your honour, keep in mind its a roguelike if you pick bad debuffs and bad boons or play poorly, you will still fail. For 4th I did Trial master,
Spoiler
He is primarily Physical damage so % Phys reduction or massive health/ES pool is recommended, he will reduce your armour to 0 if you fail to avoid some of the mechanics, This does not affect Physical reduction from Evasion through the ascendancy. The debuffs you pick throughout the trial do not affect you in trial master fight
