So ... I went back to my POE1 Ruthless Char to get hit to maps and ...

You guys need to learn to play the game. PoE2 isn't PoE1 so stop playing it like it is. Combo your skills, build synergies with supports, and bosses will fall quick. Even melee kills bosses quick, VERY QUICK if you just keep your weapon somewhat current and READ the skills/supports to know what combo's into what.

Even then, IF you still don't like the game, then that's fine. That's why PoE1 will still be produced so you guys can be happy. Don't ruin my game just because you want a mindless zoom fest v2.0.

GGG is a small studio with at most 200 employees. Rumors have it they have kept only 8 people on PoE1. Even large studios with 1000s of employees and 100s of devs struggle to keep old live service games on anything but maintenance mode when the put out the sequel. GGG says they will keep production going for PoE1 but nothing of their current size points to that being a reality after a year or two.

Then learn to play this game. What the problem?
Lmao, all the people quibbling about this or that and entirely missing the point, seemingly just for the sake of being a contrary asshole. What happened in your lives to get those sticks lodged so far up your asses? Or are you just naturally that insecure?

The OP is correct. This game is deeply flawed.

It's in Early Access, which means now is the time for players to point out problems with it, in order to improve its appeal and staying power by making it a better game. Running around attacking people for pointing out legitimate concerns and issues with the game isn't helping you unless your goal is to literally kill the game. Want a game that only a handful of people play? Keep at it. The game will shut down if its numbers drop below a certain point. And they will. They're currently dropping at a rate of around 4% per day. If that keeps up, this game's toast inside of two months. I don't think it will, because GGG will keep making changes and adding content, but in its current form it's unsustainable.

"Oh you like enjoy playing a particular style of game? Just learn to play a different style of game, what's the problem?"

Lol. Do you get what you're saying? I like PoE1. I want to keep playing PoE1. There's reasons to be suspicious that PoE1 might not continue to exist as a direct result of 2. If I wanted to play a different game genre I would.

Imagine if D5 came out and it was an idle clicker game. Would you just say "What's the problem just enjoy the new game?" Lmao

I haven't died a single time in cruel difficulty. No idea what problem you're having. Probably rushing too fast rather than actually learning the game.

Poe1 ruthless has no gem availability where in poe2 I don't even pick them up anymore. I have been fully kitted out in rares since act 2 and have tons of currency saved up to when I feel I need to craft new gear. Ruthless is a false equivalency.

You're not even addressing the actual problems and portents of the game which is that they are doing stupid heavy handed nerfs and not even providing a respec discount.

Stay in poe1 if it's so good. You won't.

No you are probably playing the overpowered deadeye build that is about to be nerfed into oblivion. All of your friends sh*t posting on this thread are about to be screaming like a hospital nursery.

If they nuke another build without thoroughly explaining themselves and their philosophy behind how they're handling nerfs on such a slipshod and haphazard manner then I'm just gonna uninstall the game and check back in a few years. Its not like they didn't put in a freaking 30-50 hour campaign before you get to endgame, with a combat system that is sort of outmatched by the new ninja turtles game. Its really not worth the stress of playing right now knowing if you do find a build that is sufficiently fun that its just going to get nuked.

I have a 300pdps crossbow, level 12 High Velocity Rounds, Gas and Voltaic grenades with 4 links and Candlemass in Act 4 is taking a few minutes to kill. I'm not mentally prepared to endure the Count fight duration.

I had a 100pdps crossbow, no voltaic grenade and only a 3link gas grenade and it didn't take me "minutes". You might want to take another look at improving your build
Not saying it's a skill issue but ... It might be.
Maybe look into adding Flame Wall and detonating your gas grenades.
Frankly, I think the problem is everyone looking for silly one button builds. I am having no trouble with bosses now. Sure, I took a bunch of tries in the first two days, but once you accept that you absolutely have to synergize multiple skills, your thinking changes. It's an entirely different paradigm and comparing the two games like that is, frankly, a silly waste of time.

I realise players are a proud bunch, tending toward bragging so when I say this pushback is inevitable, but ... figure out this game and you'll do much better. It's a simple as that.

I killed Goenor on the first try on my ranger, which is my third alt. I managed that because I've learned this game, and have freed myself from my POE-1 expectations.

If you can admit to yourself that your approach to the game might be flawed, you will begin to improve, because, as always, the greatest barrier to learning is the belief that you know something.
Ranger is broken. That is known. Anyone that says "well I can one shott bosses on my ranger." is going to be crying in a week.
