Where have they said this? Everything I've seen seems to contradict it including content in the recent JR interviews. In fact he apologised for having to take some of the POE 1 team temporarily over to POE 2 in the run up to EA.

It is an estimation and rumor, I'll admit that. They haven't doubled their number of devs (though likely have hired more) which means they are pulling devs off PoE1 which they had roughly 20-30 developers according to various job and company assessment sites. Hard to think they'd be temp moves as their focus seems to be almost exclusively on pushing PoE2 as the new main game and needs that dev support beyond release.
