Cast on Ignite not working (POE2)

I wondered the same so I tried out to slot in all kind off skills and it seems like only fire based spells work. I don't know if this is intended but if it is an indication in the description would be nice.

it seems I found the problem, I think for the Cast on Ignite to "work", you'll need to have a skill equipped with it and not attempt to turn it on on it's own like I did.

just tried it now:

right click to activate w/o any skill (just the cast on ignite) - "not enough spirit"

right click to activate w/ a random skill - works

hope this helps. try socketing a skill with it before turning it on.

Please explain step by step as I was 5 years old how this works... what does this mean:

How do you "right click to activate with a skill" on a support skill?

I just tested it. it seems for example "cast on ignite", you dont put support gems into the support gem slots, you put skill gems into them..... but how does this even work?

so you need to craft TWO of the same skill gems or what? I dont get it.

I was baffled as well but it works like this:

Drop the Cast On Ignite gem on any primary empty slot, next drag a fire based skill from one of your existing Primary slots (or craft a new skill gem) and drop it into the support slot (the slot/smaller circle to the right of the primary slot of Cast on Ignite). Right click to activate now works.

As you build up your ignite percentage over time to 100% (displayed in the top left corner), the spell in the secondary support slot of Cast on Ignite will trigger.

Example:
Cast On Ignite (primary slot)
Firestorm (secondary slot next to Cast On Ignite)
Enable cast on ignite by right clicking
I cast any spell that has potential to ignite and build it to 100%
Firestorm triggers at 100%
Repeat

Cast on Ignite does not trigger. Stays at 0%.

Cast of Ignite still is bugged. Have 151/151 spirit and it still states "not enough spirit" when it requires 60. Tried slotting random supports into it and still wont activate.
