Cast on Ignite not working (POE2)

I am playing Gemmling Legionnaire with the ascendancy skill point; Adaptive Capability.


Since it satisfies my highest attribute, I should be able to socket it and use it. However, when I do socket it, it does not allow me to use it because of my 'spirit' level being low even though my spirit is at 100 and the required amount is 60.



It also doesn't allow me to socket any skills with the 'Cast on Ignite' gem as well, I even tried to put oil grenades into it to no avail. Please look into this ASAP. There is a build potential with 'Cast on Ignite' however with this bug I am unable to theorycraft it as it's a major setback to progression in general.

Also reporting that Cast on ignite currently doesnt work.

well latest update bricked cast on ignite completly it woudnt even count

can confirm this as well, i have 140+ spirit and when attempting to activate Cast on Ignite, i get a message saying Not Enough Spirit, it costs 60 only, I dont see any reason why it won't work, my other Spirit reserving buffs work, like Teleport etc., tried turning this on on it's own, still wont activate

update on this:

it seems I found the problem, I think for the Cast on Ignite to "work", you'll need to have a skill equipped with it and not attempt to turn it on on it's own like I did.

just tried it now:

right click to activate w/o any skill (just the cast on ignite) - "not enough spirit"

right click to activate w/ a random skill - works

hope this helps. try socketing a skill with it before turning it on.

Same here, tried socketing a support gem first to see if it would activate but it's still not working

Same problem. When slotting the skill gem and activating (with and without a slotted 'spell', Spirit does not reduce from total of 96. Icon shades dark. Then when hovering icon with mouse, says "Disabled: not enough Spirit" - even though it costs 60 Spirit and I have 96. Also tried "Elemental Invocation" which is also broken. This skill will only show charges with "Solar Orb" but will not show charges slotting "Flame Wall" or "Spark". I've already burned 3 Spirit Skill Gems trying to find a way around this bug.
