Trial of the Sekhemas Needs major reworking

First post here. Figured I'd drop my 'agree' token in the bucket, in hopes it gets enough attention.

I'm a new player. I've played some ARPGs in the past, but never PoE1, so I have no reference to go by in "how things used to be".

I, for one, quite like this trial; I think it's a pretty neat idea.
Having said this, I do very much feel that the honour system is stacked against melee classes. Even with the existence of honour-resist relics, I can't help but feel that this system could do with a once-over.
I am trying to finish my third ascendancy as a monk and keep failing as I cannot get out of range of both the melee strikes of the two bosses even with 25% movement speed.

I've attempted the trial 5 times now and no luck. Also the trial token claim (7trials) but disappears after a single use.

This is ridiculous.

just wait when you guys doing the 7-8th point ascendency in trial of the sekhemas, am lvl 87 infernalist, i done last boss now for 8 times because i cant reach the hourglasses in time, and yes i have slow resistance against debuff.

It is so random this hour glass that is ridicelous.. i agree trial of the sekhemas need a rework.
The ascension trials need to be removed. Just make it a quest line that anyone can achieve. They should be fun and engaging to do - not the sadistic form of torture that they are now. Why gate a key part of character progression behind the two worst mechanics from POE1 that are universally hated by the players? At least add checkpoints and make each floor its own separate trial instead of having to start them all over again.

duct tape solution would be, just remove the honor all together keep sanctum, keep the difficulty, let players fight, dying just cause of loosing honor while having flask full of health and full life is just not...fun, fair, enjoyable experience.
