gender representation in future classes. big fail if as forecasted.
" 3 out of the 6 classes are woman currently. It's not that anyone is offended it's that what your arguing for makes no sense. " You're missing the point. Development time is development time and you said it was a waste of it. Just be wrong and move on with your life. Who cares. " Not projecting at all to think that characters who are canonically their own person shouldn't be gender swapped to suite someone's NEED for self insertion/larp. If you can't handle your opinions being challenged that speaks to you, not me. This post was sponsored by me. Last edited by DetonatorLoki#3683 on Dec 11, 2024, 2:40:45 PM

making all classes m/f is the first step towards they/them territory

best solution to this is selling the existing models as mtx so you can play the tree of monk with its ascendancy while looking like the witch and have her dialogs/voice etc
doubt this would mean much work, maybe "force" ppl to select the mtx in charr select (still swapable) to make it easier i dont see a reason against this other than they cant (for some programming reason,no idea) or they dont want to this would be fine, but seems like easy money for me without really compromising the game |

" 3D artists aren't typically working "under the hood" and devs aren't technically responsible either if we're being pedantic. Designers design the game and devs make that design work. Devs do often have input, but design typically has final say. |

To be honest, I don't see a reason to not have both genders available. I think those opposed to the idea don't have much of a real reason to hate it either atleast based on the feedback I read here against it which mostly boils down to the current culture war and the side they chose on it. But POE is a game about having options available to you, you see it in every aspect of the game except this one thing. I think, options are a good thing, and including both male and female options for all the classes would be an even more good thing, and if people would get past the current idea that you have to choose extreme sides of things they'd realize. More options is better for them too. Should it be a priority issue? Probably not, I could argue it would be a great post development thing to tackle though.
My 2 cents. or hot take or what ever you want to say it is. ~signed someone who doesn't pick sides in a goofy social war. |

I've never understood this. I have no qualms playing a female character, and no it's not the "Well I wanna look at someone sexy while I play" argument. Especially considering you can barely even see your character through all the particle effects and loot drops.
In fact, most of the classes I prefer to play are female and not male and I'm sure there are plenty of other males on here in the same boat as me. This is such a stupid, tiny issue for an EA game when there are actual gameplay features that need adjustments. Gender choice is practically a cosmetic and this is a game where cosmetics are largely irrelevant. |

" Literally a class to me is just its passive tree location+ascendancy. It all gets hidden beneath auras and armor+mtx anyways at lvl1 on the beach. Most PoE players that actually come back league after league have 0 thought given to why they pick a class, they pick it because that's the build they wanna play and that's the end of that thought process. This isn't WoW or some mmo where you'll be looking at your character a lot or putting specific armor on them. You're gonna put some random items from the campaign on and look like a goblin with an iron bucket on its head. Or you'll wear a rainbow mtx suit. This kind of non-issue just isn't worth the time or money it would take GGG to re-do voice acting and animation work for one class, let alone multiple lmao |

" I would like to have male/female options BUt I think you guys underestimate the workload this requires They have to fit all previous armor MTX to all the new models So 2 new models, instead of 1 is twice the work Remember they are porting over all the previous MTX from PoE 1 I'd imagine it's not easy to do It would proably had been easier if they were starting from a blank slate I think this is the biggest reason it's not a thing in PoE 2 Maybe they can just copy the base model of sorcerer, ranger or witch though and make a few changes Don't know |
