Everything being slow in PoE2 is a serious problem.

"
This is something that doesn't exist in the game currently. Because of how slow everything is, and how everything melts the player's HP bar.

If you invest in survivability, "everything" will not melt your HP bar.
If you read up on how skills and passives work and apply that information to actually make a build instead of clicking randomly at things - you'll get more power.

Everything works just fine as is.

I'm not saying that the design of the boss fights is bad.
I'm just saying that the game is so focused on the mechanics of rolling and attacking, that it's forgetting that it's not a Soulslike, but rather a Diablo like.
Where the player has to feel like they're progressing and becoming powerful.

Have you played Diablo 3?

Cause that was already full of mechanics heavy boss fights.

Pretty much every single modern arpg has mechanics in boss fights because we got bored of tank and spank over a decade ago.

Also, you don't have to roll, ever. It's not faster than moving. You can be moving and attacking at all times, in fact you should be doing so to maximize your dps uptime.

If all you are doing is rolling around, you should adjust your playstyle. Make every effort to minimize how much you need to roll.

Again, like any good fanboy of anything similar to the Souls series vibe, you assume things you don't know.

And lastly, if a Diablo-like ARPG punishes the player for making a tankier build, you can't call that a positive point, because I was making a build like that, and it became unviable due to the minimal amount of damage I was doing vs the damage taken, which was still high.

Learn to read, and stop assuming straw men to try to convince others of your point.
Just media literacy is at an all time low when a game has a dodge roll it is immediately considered a souls-like. This game still plays like an ARPG at it's core. There is much more to a souls game than just dodging.
The slower gameplay is a massive incentive to play POE2 for me. The keyboard mashing of D3, with its screen full of flashing numbers and near indecipherable effects is just a mess.

If the concern is that people can't blaze through content in a season, GGG can address that in other ways. But if you think about it, why should you feel the need to smash through content? Isn't the point of the game to have fun and not rush to the end as soon as possible? It's like saying 'The best thing about my job is that I get to go on vacation once a year.' Sounds like you need to find a new job?

The core speed of POE2 shouldn't change. This game, including its pacing, is a huge improvement over every other ARPG I've ever played.
