I don't think they fixed it, as I have been getting frequent BSOD's while playing PoE (I also have an X-Fi sound card).
Based on the above comments, seems like the two fixes available are: a) turn off all programs that might play a sound while you are playing b) use your motherboard's integrated sound card while we wait for a fix. |

i've had the same reproducible BSOD page fault as the OP a few moments after entering the dark forest twice now.
win 7 64bit with creative X-Fi soundcard. maybe 9.12 will fix this. edit: ok i updated my driver. should've been done at the store that built my pc for me but oh well. my bad for assuming. i ran my templar around in the dark forest for a bit and no crash. so far so good. Also had BSOD code 50 today after 2 days of playing without problems. Got Creative Audigy sound card. Would be nice if it got fixed since having BSOD while playing harcore isn't fun at all :)

Hey,
Just wanted to add that I've been having the same issue, but throughout act1 and act2. The BSOD occurs not only when sounds outside the game play, but also within the game. Im running a Creative card as well so most likely a related issue. (Checked all my hardware, everything is A-OK). Are there any plans to get a fix on this, or must we switch sound drivers? For those of us planning to do parties and potentially pay for leagues among friends it would be a shame if we had to drop our quality for skype/teamspeak/etc. just to be able to play. Thanks |

Are you guys running in full screen mode? because some people still get the BSOD even when they have turned off all sound. Changing it to window mode seem to fix the problem for some people.

Yeah I'm in the same deal , I have never had a blue screen , I just recently Reformatted my computer (literally like 3 days before I downloaded PoE) and I keep getting the blue screen Exact same one as original post. It's something with PoE i'm strongly thinking so as I have looked through other forums and It has to do with our sound cards.
X-Fi in particular. |
