I spent 200k gold to respec 80% of my tree to try something new, build not working, i'm screwed
So you made the bad decision to move away from a working build with no backup plan and then complain that the game does not have a second safety net (the first being asking to save respec changes). Seriously?
Come on. At some point a person needs to be responsible for their own actions. |

They could just add a full respec option for the cost of a few levels.

I mean the same problem already existed in poe1... Idk what made you think you can just respec and if it doesnt work you are going to be fine

The gold cost for respecing is kinda nuts, the problem people seemingly forget though is that with a high cost of respecing it also shoehorns more meta builds in, it discourages new and old players to actually experiment as much if at all, and lastly it (at least before the latest patch notes, haven't tested it yet) made you choose between potential gear upgrades and fun with experimentation, only leaving players further behind others making their experiences with the game feel worse...
For the ones who argue it is fine as it is, i would say this, what do you lose by it being easier for others who want to experiment? you simply get more gold and they get to have more fun, that sounds like a win win. |

This is why I looked up if someone already uses the thing I want to try.
Otherwise the only option would be to farm enough for 2 respecs. Last edited by krenderke#3861 on Dec 10, 2024, 4:12:56 AM

They are making a game for only for the elite that play 24 hours
i like the game but its to hard the rolling/dodging on the floor is stupid respeccing imo must be free why pay for it and dont let your customers try other builds???? this game in this moment feels like torture. You play a game to have fun and relax not to stress out and keep rolling over the floor a thousand time per boss fight its just stupid what they did |

Someone else already pointed it out - you're bound to get unexpected results doing an untested build in endgame. Respeccing is supposed to be easier, I agree. What I also agree with is for a build to be consequential and meaningful, making large decisions such as rewiring your entire tree shouldn't be as easy as erasing an entire whiteboard and filling it with entirely something new on it. The whole point of making the tree during the campaign is to test your build as you go and tweaking it during that phase.
OP'S another PoE1 enjoyer that doesn't like the PoE2 experimentation. |
