I spent 200k gold to respec 80% of my tree to try something new, build not working, i'm screwed
I was playing a good minion build just reached level 73, but got bored after 40 hours of play. I thougt of a DD ignite build with sacrifice and all and I wanted to give it a try, spent 200k gold for like 30 points and 2 ascendency point(this is kinda ridiculously high). Build's not working as expected.
Im screwed, i dunno what to do, cant clear anything, build is tanky cuz i managed to cap res and get a high life pool but damage is non existent. I legit cant tank another leveling, i'm so fkin burned out. Pls do something about respec i stg. Last bumped on Dec 10, 2024, 4:39:39 AM

Easy respec was one of the things I was hyped for
I'm almost sure I saw videos that made it seem like it was very easy "You just spend a bit of gold" I know I'm not the only one who got that impression Hopefully they will change the cost I think it should be like 50 gold instead of 500 Last edited by Jokke1989#7206 on Dec 9, 2024, 6:01:31 PM

It's quite remarkable they managed to make respecing worse than poe1 (Which isn't bad at all once you're going in maps).
PoE2 is a great tutorial for PoE1.

I was also excited for lower respec costs, and overwhelmingly disappointed when I tried to respec in-game.
The cost to respec is incredibly prohibiting. Please lower it considerably. Last edited by disjunctive#5302 on Dec 9, 2024, 6:13:04 PM

so you gave up a working build for something untested, while at the endgame mind you and now you're upset cause you're stuck? i mean did you not foresee this could happen? lol

I miss regret orbs so much.
Having the currency that's used to respec also be used for trade/target gambling for gear is such a pain. And combined with no bench-craft mods, anytime i get an upgrade that has less attributes than what it's replacing I get to spend 2-6k gold re-allocating attribute nodes. Almost everything i pick up is just to vendor for covering respec costs. "Beidat honored the pact, though Mancy wouldn't take off Doryani’s prototype."

" that was the point, in poe1 it was really hard for people learning how to play to fix mistakes in their tree and adapt to new knowledge while levelling, which was bad. then on the flip it was super easy for deep endgame chars to completely respec their entire tree to a whole new build because they all had 1k regrets in their stash, which was also bad. it should be the other way around, when you are levelling and working out what you are doing it should be trivial to respec, but when you are deep in endgame you should have an established build that works (hence you made it to deep endgame) and the idea is if you want to do a whole new character you roll a new character. if you got to the point in poe1 where it was easy to respec then your character was working fine and ud farmed 100s of regrets so you didnt need to respec. respeccing in poe1 was in a bad state and they fixed it. I love all you people on the forums, we can disagree but still be friends and respect each other :)

This is a legit huge problem.
I personally think a better solution to this is to do like POE1 atlas, and at level 75 give you an ALTERNATE passive spec... this would allow players to explore a new build without breaking their old one. |

Double post.
Its crazy how people think games shouldnt be designed around being fun. And think they should instead try and waste your time as much as possible. such a strange attitude. Last edited by Deciusera#3648 on Dec 10, 2024, 1:31:50 AM

I dont mind rerolling in PoE 1, the game is a fun power fantasy that isnt punishing leveling up. This PoE is a slog. Its designed to be punishing and requires constant methodical gameplay. Often with unsatisfactory rewards. Path of Exile is absolutely the better game right now. Path of exile 2 feels like a job. Stop punishing us for experimenting. Forcing rerolls when the game is designed to constantly require good movement and dodging is BS. I shouldn't need to reroll multiple times in a season to have a chance at viability. Especially when every 40 hours feels meaningless in power progression.
