Auto aim on PC
I play with leap and so often it targets some nearby monster instead of leaping where I point.

Yeah, if you play with small aoe spells, this is literal cancer and it should be gone.

Some good idears in this threat, the console got in poe1
U could directly fire in the direction u are looking at. The Problem is now the backmovement. So they needed to change it for controler. But i think they need to install a great switch betwenn auto aim, and manuell aiming without delay. For example. left analog stick is movement and auto aim ist aktiv. When u use the right analag stick u got a direction input for 5 sec or so. So u can correct ur direction every 5 seconds with input. Also the Tempest bell need to be instantly focused by the auto aim. Only when u use the redirect with the right stick, this will change. THere are situations, when u place the bell, and the Monk starts to fire backwards into walls with no enemys behind it. Some of this needs a lot of work. But i am sure, that they will find solutions. |

If I weren't a minion user, I'd stop playing all together until Druid comes out.
This destroys playability by removing agency. As an accessability option it is amazing, for accurate shooting it hurts so fucking much. Actually sad playing ranged. |

" This is so true. I need to be able to accurately aim as a ranger. My main skill shoots 3 projectiles, so aiming well is key to be able to hit the most amount of enemies. Especially since the spread is controlled by how far the mouse is from my character. This aspect gets nulled by auto-aim as well. |

I think that giving us an option to customize the auto-aim deadzone would be a perfect solution.
For example, you can leave it at 100 (like it's right now), and that would be a maximum. You could reduce at your liking the deadzone (and maybe have some kind of visual representation in the input menu? like a circle going bigger or smaller depending on how big the deadzone is). Or even have an input that we can customize to reduce the deadzone at will for some skills, but not for all of them. The Lord's Labyrinth awaits you. Choose wisely, strike quickly. Thrust completely. And may you find the ending that you deserve. Last edited by MekaDragon#4802 on Dec 16, 2024, 1:26:44 PM

" This doesn't even work right. Projectiles fly 5 feet above your cursor when shooting to the left/right with no mobs on the screen. No idea how any of this made it through 15 mins of playtesting. |

I was so excited to play monk early with the frozen locus backflip into glacial cascade to explode it. But as i hit higher mob density, it got harder and harder to reliably hit the frozen locus. Then i realized auto-aim was preventing me from targeting the locus when any mob is near it. A bit counter-intuitive design that it's harder to hit the frozen locus when mobs are near it considering it's made to explode on nearby mobs. I guess it's supposed to be hit by the mobs instead but that was really disappointing.
loving the game, not loving always-on auto-aim Last edited by burntends#2236 on Dec 16, 2024, 1:37:49 PM

Make auto-aim optional and let me shoot grenades at my damn feet, as it is I can't kite and shoot the direction I'm running because my character locks onto the mob it's an infuriating situation.

Yeah my arrows are going 30 degrees above my cursor when there are no mobs being targeted.
I never had to hover a mob to shoot him, aiming in arpgs when mobs are swarming you form offscreen in 0.0000001 second is not fun. poe1 had it better. |
