Minions feel way too weak and doesn't feel fun to play - POE2

Not being a smartass but did search "POE2 Minion Builds" on Google?

I did and also searched YouTube and found like 20 videos showcasing how to build your character as well as a demonstration of how the builds work.

If you're struggling to survive in boss fights maybe find a hardcore build that focuses on defense and not a glass cannon softcore build.

I've heard people say Kripparian's minion build was great.

Currently in maps on a minion infernalist. Never used SRS because I only enjoy permanent minion playstyles. Went through the campaign on skeletons only.

I immediately identified respawn time as the most important stat and rushed it on the tree. Yes bosses would kill my minions but overall it was faceroll, had no issues with dmg or the survivability of my character.

I would love if GGG believed you and buffed my build but it's a you issue, you are doing something wrong.
Love the games. PoE1 way more so than PoE2, but still enjoying both.

Hate the company. The scummy, lying, fake and shitty facade, the excuses, the failures, and most of all, the "Vision".

Keep both of those in mind when reading my posts.

Have to agree with this. With the respawn nodes + the gem that keeps minions alive for extra 4 seconds, they respawn the second they disappear.

I think that my main issue with minions is that they don't draw much aggro (if at all) when they attack. Every mob comes straight for me, and I have to dodge into a narrow space, have my minions blockade them and spam firewall. Otherwise, I'm dodging mobs, and my minions are chasing them around the map.

Just my thought.
Permanent minions actually become good with gem levels. They start to survive around lvl 11.

Remember that poe1 zombies are crap too at lower level. With poe2, you have in fact more options to build something that work at low level by exploiting the fact they will die (last gasp, essence harvest, and minion pact comes to mind)

The sturdy minion army will come later (skeletal cleric gem works really well)
