Ah right because my witch who completed the first 3 acts but cannot defeat this boss is underleveled.... ehrm..wut ?

so I'm like 7 levels overleveled on my lightning chronomancer. I'm using good links and haven't really had much in the way of damage issues anywhere up to the beginning of cruel act 1. some bosses take slightly longer but its not really a big deal as long as I do it correctly...
where in the vaal am I supposed to get more damage? I've got a ton of lightning pen nodes, I've got him cursed the entire fight, and hitting him basically the entire fight often times inside mana tempest with orb of storms sitting on him AND flame wall up. I was trying this with my friend who has cold conversion ice wall fireball as well who was freezing him and everything but we just couldnt get him down low enough to cull (maybe like 6-7% left at best) Idk man... feels like it's just tuned poorly to me. Honestly the game is a little overtuned in a bunch of places for a huge majority of players and it feels really terrible when you hit those bumps in the road because there feels like there's no recourse at all. I know it's EA but holy hell lol anyway, hope they fix these things. I've honestly seen enough for now in EA to have given my feedback on how bad the multiplayer experience is overall and how weird and broken so many little things seem to be plus bits and bobs that could just be improved. This boss is definitely on that list. |

I have been disgustingly melting everything in the game so far with a minion build doing every single boss fight only a single time till this guy. Literally can only get him down to 20% hp and he only goes in the lava twice (seems to be hardcoded). I'm already 4 levels overleveled for the area and I'm using flammability for srs. This bosss has FAR too much health it's not even remotely close to any other boss fight in the game.

I would like to add that Forgemaster on normal is significantly harder than any other boss from any of the 3 acts on normal or cruel (this does mean I am saying Forgemaster on cruel is easier than Forgemaster on normal), we simply don't have the multipliers and attack speed to pull that kind of dps. When I beat it on my deadeye it was down to the end of the map and on my monk it was impossible without lesser jewelers orbs and lvl 11 skills (second char). Even something as small as a 20% nerf would make a big difference.

Skip em, not worth the reward which is just a skill gem and some gold.
One cannot help but wonder how such a lust for loot can affect a persons mind. Although these exiles appear to be our salvation, it would not take much for them to turn on us as easily as they fight gods and demons.

" Got to clear the quest to get the ability to merge gear. Which gets useful when climbing maps. |

" The recombinator is nice but not necessary, especially in EA. As a point of counter, I did this boss lvl 44 Lightning Invoker pretty easily which has a fairly potent ranged attack. I had started a warrior toon but deleted it because it felt so bad to play in Act 1 I didn't want to push through so I can sympathize with those having trouble |
