Dark Souls
It's not even close to Dark Souls difficulty. I managed to kill Geonor first try on sorc. You can't do it in Dark Souls.

The fun in Souls is you get good Loot from the bosses you knocked your head against.
PoE2 is lootless and your time is not rewarded so monkey brain does not activate. |

I'm a Souls veteran. I love Souls.
There are many Souls aspects that I found with these bosses that I loved: the music, the attack patterns, the vibes. Those are all amazing. Then there were huge misses. The loot in this game is barely existent. Then there is a huge problem with visual clarity. I understand that they were going for washed / darker colours with less saturation, because Souls games have that. I get that. And it looks great in Souls games. But you know what Souls games also have? COLOR CONTRAST AND VISUAL CLARITY I never fail to see what's going on in Souls. I do in this game. Look at this post I made: https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/3604316 The ground is yellow, the boss is yellow, the sandstorm is yellow and blurs the screen, the screen has a yellow filter, and the aura you're supposed to run behind is... guess what colour... yellow. Lab in PoE1 had the same problem: Grey walls, grey floors, grey enemies, grey traps, and even a grey filter on top. You can go for less saturated colours, but not if you have everything the same colour and don't use any contrasts whatsoever. Look at Bloodborne's Ludwig fight: https://static0.gamerantimages.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2023/09/bloodborne-ludwig-the-holy-blade.jpg It also has dark colours GGG love so much. But you know what it also has? DIFFERENT COLOURS You can visually tell apart Ludwig from the arena from the blood on the floor from his weapon. |

" Fashion Souls is about loot? What? PoE 1 fans seems like they want a mindless easy game zooming through while watching a movie. |

"What loot are you expecting from campaign bosses? POE1 doesn't have much of it either. |
