As someone who appreciated the direction they went in, to put it simply, it feels like they missed the sweet spot between POE 1 and where POE 2 is now, basically an over correction.

Its not even everything, it's just a few things that function as brick walls to the rest of the game.

Thats it in a nutshell. They just pushed the timing thing a bit too far and its breaking people. Also im not speaking for Ziz or trying to imply what his thoughts are or anything, he just captured my feels in that moment with that clip and it makes it easy to convey the point.

Yeah for real, I've been playing POE on and off since they did those race leagues super early on and gave away those special unique items and all that ancient shit before they even had maps or any actual endgame. I think the original acts weren't even finished at that point.

Was definitely not at all like POE2 even back then. It was just POE 1 but without a trading API and a fraction of the content, and the only thing to do was basically compete in endless speed runs.

Yes its just stupid to buy icecream if you know you dont like icecream and then complain that it tastes like icecream

I like Ice Cream. This ice cream flavor however is dog water flavor. No different map versions when you have to re-grind an area to try and get items or currency, nothing else engaging except rinse and repeat. Dodge roll 5 times for every one attack is not combat. Twitch streams I see of further areas look like the devs took their queues from the garbage Blizzard put out for the try hards screaming about end game. I'm also getting a diablo immortal mobile game vibe from the designs.

I'm only mad because they pulled resources from poe for a game I don't like. It's everything I thought it would be and I hate it. I just want to play a poe league for Christmas, but instead of having that to look forward to, I have to wait ~3 months.

Now, we'll get new leagues only every 6 months, thanks to poe 2 -_-
