How about go back to your loot pinata that is D4 where you spend more time selling at a vendor than you do playing.
A MASSIVE part of PoE is crafting, pick stuff up, get mats, find an item, craft and rng a useful item..not useful..try again.
The loot, overall, is fine...people are just complaining mostly because loot is not falling from the skies in mass quantities. If people would take the time to USE the systems given to us instead of complaining about it constantly you might get somewhere and have fun like crazy amount of players currently doing so.
The loot is fine, you're just not using the included systems to make the loot useful.
So then its PoE 1 with added dodge roll and upgraded graphic, reskinned and renamed as PoE 2 ?
For sure CRAFTING is a massive part of POE 1.
Crafting as in we use alteration, essence, etc. Not ID > Trash mods > Vendor. ID > Some good rolls > Pulling pachinko exalt lever > Bam, light radius > Vendor.
Game is PoE 2, with all friction of PoE 1 but none of solutions.

There is a matter of:
not enough currency dropping,
the currency that drops being too heavily the lowest ones
not enough gear dropping
the gear that drops exclusively being trash
"rarity" as a modifier on gear being far too important
and crafting not existing as it's really just more gambling
For those reasons the loot systems do need improvement.
There is not, however, any issue regarding loot being dropped for "not your class/build".
Something people need to understand if they're going to play PoE2, just as if they were going to play PoE1:
This is not a game where you are meant to choose and play only one character.
This is a game where you are meant to play multiple characters.
You aren't meant to simply pick a Ranger, and go through the game finding bows.
You are meant to start as a Ranger, loot a good staff, make and play a Sorc, loot a unique mace, make and play a Warrior, loot some other uniques and rares befitting a Monk build, make and play that Monk build, and only then as the Monk find great gear for a bow build and swap back to your Ranger.
Obviously the order of characters is arbitrary but the point is you play multiple characters, not just one, and often spend time making/playing builds based on your gear, not just hoping for gear for the build you were making.

So, play classes that you dont like to progress?
Wut?

Play all of the classes/builds you like, not just one.
If you're actually in the state where there only is one build you like, this isn't the right game for you.

I just spent over 230 exalts and other mats trying to make an upgrade, I will not trade. I got exactly zero upgrades. In fact I got so annoyed I vaaled my ring and downgraded myself.

Clue is in the name - RARE loot, UNIQUE loot
Hard to get loot is more meaningful, unlike casino style KACHING every 5 minutes and meddling in goddamn stash every 10
Also not sure we are playing the same game, I made multiple chars just to play a bit and see how they feel, half into act 1 I'm all in rares except jewerly, I got at least one unique each and 2,3 some cases. I get enough stuff so the game gets trivial and bosses are no real threat.
Not to mention campaign is doable on blue just upgrade for better dmg etc

Loot is so bad in this game why even bother.
I have been in endgame 200+ hours 1 divine drop wtf?
I thought poe 1 was stingy with loot wow.
From div/h to div/week, hahaha glorious.
