Sick of elitist souls like difficulty
Yeah, I agree with the OP to a large extent.
Played Mercenary and had to dodge constantly and still died several times. Some suggest WASD movement with ranged classes and I might try that even though I hate WASD. Combat feels very sluggish (I understand some people like this) and I cannot recall any arpg I've ever played (including PoE 1) that felt like I was moving in two inches of mud. The other thing bugging me is Attack in Place. I expect it to stop me but it doesn't. It continues to move me to wherever the last mouse click was and I have to quickly click behind me. Again, maybe WASD fixes this. But the near-constant dodging, especially in Boss fights, feels too souls-like and is a turn-off (to me). I don't plan to refund since I'm close to 2 hours already and intend to give WASD a solid chance. |

" You say you are sick of elitism.. but you start your statement with "Got 10k hours in poe" Well dude. I got not even 200H in POE 1 and I find this game EASY! No it is not even 10% of Souls game difficulty. You are just stuck in patterns fo POE 1 and need to unlearn those. |

Man you can’t be serious, I am in no way a good player, I have less than 1k hours in the first one because there was absolutely no gameplay, it was a freakin build planner.
Dark souls are hard games for me, I play melee and killed devourer on second try , you just have to understand few attacks, please don’t make this game a one button entire screen delete smash fest, please don’t. " Dark Souls is not hard. LOL. They literally designed the game so even T-eedy streamers can beat them. I watched my super casual gamer friend who was a 'feeder' at every competitive game beat Dark Souls while we were stoned off our asses back in high school. You die a couple times to the boss, learn its timing, and from there it's just dodge+ attack. And this is the same reason a lot of people (and many more to come once they realize it) are going to give negative feedback to this game. 5-20 minutes of dodging patterns where the most 'difficult' part is realizing how bored I'm getting and zoning out or checking my phone mid fight because of how boring it is, isn't 'hard'. Dark Souls games were always made to fill a void for gamers who weren't good enough to be competitive at another game, so they could just memorize a few combos and ace the boss and feel powerful. I'm not hating on the game, it looked like it may have been fun, but to me it's super boring. I know that with every boss it's just figuring out the attack pattern and spamming dodge while I press my attack at whatever their weak point is. The fun part of ARPGs is supposed to be the power fantasy, the feeling of progression or possible progression, and theory crafting. When I know every boss I'm gonna just dodge for 5-20 minutes with whatever build I do... the game sucks. We all know it, too. |

" Yoou already have POE1 for that. POE2 is for people that think DIFFERENT on that. I do nto care of pwoer fantasy.. in fact I hate it. But If I had spare money I woudl pay for this game as much as I had paid for all other games I ever played together. |

I agree it requires too much dodging, trying a ranger and all bosses up to yet have been dodge and try take a shot, I don't think its a good idea personally, dodging being a feature is cool but not when its a requirement for half of most fights. I probably wont try wasd as I prefer click moving in arpg's but its a bit bad if the fix is to swap to wasd, targeting I've also found similar issues where it misses the target by a bit.
I enjoy the difficulty increase to poe personally but I do think the souls like comparison is there as I thought the same because of the small arenas, lots of slow mechanics from bosses(so far) and requirement to dodge a lot. |

" game is imbalanced in every possible way try play warrior and then try play summoner witch ... this is test if you want challenge like now its good, but devs should leave this difficulty as OPTION not as MUST TO!!(just make checkbox SOULSLIKE) now more than 60% players who tried just dropped to play game ... campaign should be much easier !!! its fact.. at least first difficulty that everyone could enjoy.. |

" Completely insane take from someone that has played zero Ruthless, and probably next to zero PoE2. They're not even close to similar. You want PoE1 with updated graphics. That's never what PoE2 was meant to be. |
