Network Mode -: Predictive and Lockstep

There is hope, there is a [Networking] category in C:\Users\youruser\Documents\my games\Path of Exile 2\poe2_production_Config.ini (thanks Cordexxx)

Its currently set as follows:

[NETWORKING]
networking_type=auto

If you find an option that makes predictive work - please let everyone know here.

If a dev happens upon this post and investigates, we appreciate you and hope you'll give us some good news.

Bump
In this video interview from Jonathan he mentions at around 1:28:00 that Xbox uses the 'hybrid' option.
I wonder whether this should be 'hybrid' in this file

I tested it but it didn't change anything. Still stuttering client when latency changes.

It would be nice if someone from GGG could clearify if other modes than "auto" are implemented and if they are, what values we have to assign to networking_type to change the behaviour.

Cheers.
Bump from someone who lives in country far from a server

I really want to play your game :( It is impossible with 200 ping

It feels like patches of chilled ground are added to every zone I'm in. A very terrible experience without predictive mode. I play poe1 with predictive and it solves this for me. Please enable it so that we can test properly.
R.I.P to all players with over 50ms ping...

edit: after changing the .ini to "networking_type=predictive" the stuttering is gone and my ping is back to normal and stable, maybe they do have the predictive mode but didn't want to implement it yet?

Changing network mode did nothing for me.

Also, as someone connecting to South Africa servers, I login to PoE 1 and get rock solid 50ms. I login to PoE 2 and get a jittering 100ms if I'm not doing any inputs and a rock solid 200ms when I do inputs, for example moving around.

Unplayable, to say the least.
This has to be done.... I'm having half te fun I could with predictive...
