Network Mode -: Predictive and Lockstep

I had to come back here and say I hit act 2 and the game is incredible! I love it, ever part of the game has been thought out, focus on little details. You can literally feel the love that went into this

I gave up, the game is unplayable. I will return when predictive mode comes back, i do not wanna have bad memories about my beloved game. I hope GGG fixes this soon
I have these occasional one or two packet drops and with lockstep this is super annoying. Feels like every time this happens I get smacked in the face. The slow game and tedious combat I'm willing to endure while I try to get to the endgame, but these hiccups caused by packet loss is what made me quit.

While the setting is not there on the UI, I did try to set the option manually. Unfortunately it seems to be ignored.

The option was there by default in poe2_production_Config.ini and was set to 'lockstep' (or it was on 'auto'), changing it like how it is in POE1 had no effect though.

```
[NETWORKING]
networking_type=predictive
Bump this +1000 don't forget your player base from other countries that eagerly awaits for this setting to be able to start playing and give feedback.
Game feels very choppy because of no predictive mode.
Funny.. seems it is somethign else because I play with 120 ms ping and except during a 10-20 min period yesterday.. I had no issues at all. Think was a server issue
Agreed I need predictive mode as well!
Is this why my game every few seconds just freezes in place for a bit? Cause it's getting infuriating that every time I so much as move it's a complete crapshoot on whether I actually move where I wanted or if I lag a million miles ahead into half a map worth of mobs and an instant death I could do nothing about because my screen was completely static. Or sometimes it'll freeze for 5-10 seconds and then run at super speed trying to catch up and if I'm really lucky enough of my inputs while it was stopped will register for me to not die.
Playing from NZ so I'm connected through the Auckland gateway, and the graph that shows up when you open the options menu shows 50ms ping with occasional spikes up to 150-200ms which is pretty normal for me on the 4G wireless internet I have. And then when it freezes that graph just counts up infinitely.
For what it's worth I never had anything like these issues in PoE 1, which I'm assuming defaulted to the predictive mode people are talking about.
If they were only going to keep one, why keep the one that doesn't work properly when your connection is anything less than perfect? That makes no sense.
I have the same problem sadly. Bring back predictive
I am also having the same issue, the game feels aweful compared to poe1, please give us the option of changing our network mode.
Nothing feels smooth, everything is so laggy and slow, like being trapped in tar. When the network is smooth, it feels great, reactive and fun.
