Absolutely disapointed -- This game is hard, and not in a fun way.

POE1 was shit at the end of the campaign and at the endgame,
with the idiotic one-shot-out-of-nowhere-deaths.

Somehow POE2 is managing to be even shittier, by bringing those horrible mechanics at LEVEL1. How the F*** is it possible to die 6 times in 6 minutes, in the first BOSS (B/W)ITCH of the game ?

Chris, I only have 2-3 hours to play today. I can't devote my whole day to this.
This is not my job, I'am not RAXX or ZIZARAN, a streamer, ...etc
WHO is this game made for?
I am enjoying it. I like games where you need to actually play based on the game's mechanics and not just spam.
I like Souls games too though. :P

Just for the record I died a bunch of times also...but I did not take it personally. I just went back and figured out what I did wrong the time before.

I'd just like to play POE2 super casual and watch the uber difficulty / challenge mode people do their thing too. We should all be able to enjoy it.

No, hard disagree. Could make the same argument for games like Elden Ring or Dark Souls, it's bullshit. Not every game needs to be catering to everyone.

Don't like it? This is not the game for you

I tell you what, go through the threads looking at the people who are saying its not fun for them, the ones you are essentially telling to get out and play something else, and look at their supporter badges, add all that up.

Then think about how you are going to fund that hardcore people only game service... not the game, the game service, without casual players who are enjoying it too.

Free 2 Play games require people in the games, having fun and buying from the store.

There is a reason the list of "hardcore only" online games in the MMO / ARPG genre is pretty small, its expensive and it has a relatively lower player base who traditionally spend less per person. I know this because I've been involved in the F2P business for a couple of games with large publishers in producing the metrics for the in game stores etc.

I think it's some what telling that your attitude is that you dont want anyone else to have fun, just you.
I'm done buying anything until we get some clarity on the future of POE1 and POE2 and I know GGG plans to spend effort on a game I want to play.

Tell us if POE1 still has your top tier support or if POE2 will get a mode for more casual play.
I think we shouldn't judge this early, but I feel this might be the slowest ARPG I have ever played and I think I almost played them all (except D4 because I don't like throw away money).
For this slow pace to feel good, a lot has to change, at least in act 1 where I am now. I wonder how long it will take for people for the novelty to wear off and will start looking for the fun. I predicted this at the second ExileCon, I'm just sad it is really this slow and bullet spungy. Most people play ARPG's to be powerful, at least I am. We'll see how it will be at endgame but so far Mercenary is already feeling like a hobo chore and I don't want to start this Act 1 over.

How in hell you manage to do that? You just sit standign in front of it and try to outdps it? That is a PLAYER issue not a game issue. That witch I defeated on the first go with my Bulldog on my lap trying to lick the keyboard at same time!

The un is there in the CHALLENGE. This game was made for people that feel fun on overcomming.. not on seeign explosion. This is not a game for people that like to watch michael bay movies.

No.. what you miss is there is and there has been a game for people that want no skill adn no iteraction for ages. it is called POE1. We that want a game where we need to be awake to play it have been waitign for years! We do not accept that game that we always wanted to be stolen by peopel that ALREADY HAVE their own game.
The bosses have to much HP as a melee it is to much focus on evading geting hit on boss fights. That is the bigest problem in this game right now.

you seriously think that GGG are going to keep POE1 and run POE2 just so a smaller, less profitable part of the player base has a game all of their own?

You know that is would be relatively easy to run POE2 with multiple difficulties, side by side, maximizing enjoyment for a larger group of the player base, and making a lot more money.

But your answer is, screw that, just make it for us. That is not how this all works, if it did, there would be many many many more niche games that are successful and stick around for a long time. You need paying players dude.

Got to act 2, decided to quit. Game isn't fun at this stage, it's like i'm playing some weird frankenstein ruthless version of poe1 with updated graphics where mobs have 3-4x the hp, not to mention the bosses. Game will prob become better over time, but for me this doesn't feel like a ARPG anymore
