Because there are two different threads I'm also posting this information here:

Microsoft does not acknowledge that this is a Windows 11 24H2 issue. They did it with Ubisoft when it ACTUALLY was a Windows 11 24H2 issue. There are no current "known issues" in Microsoft's official information page that are even tangentially related to Path of Exile 2's hard crash issues. In other words they are not working together with GGG to fix this issue as GGG claims on "State of the Early Access" post.

If you need further info it is available on the other thread.

As long as GGG is not interested in open and honest communication our only other option is to increase the pressure and warn others by giving a negative review for Path of Exile 2 on Steam in a detailed and informative manner.

I didn't even notice this until now.
@Timothy_GGG can we please get a clarification on the matter?
The Ubisoft issues are explicit mentioned in https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/release-health/resolved-issues-windows-11-24h2

Neither Path of Exile, GGG, Grinding Gear Games or PoE is mentioned on the issue page.
https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/release-health/status-windows-11-24h2
for me it was 100% the Win 11 24H2 that caused issues.

I Played the game for week straight (no freezes or crashes), then i got the Win update, then i immediately starting getting freezes.

As soon as the cumulative update patch for 24H2 was released ~2 weeks ago i installed it and never crashes since ( even before GGG's fix)

So for me there is no doubt it was windows related , the was even a mention in the fix that vaguely mentioned "gaming" and causing CPU workload to be too high ( paraphasing here).

Nope. Something else happened during update that pushed you between GGG Engine's hard crash bounds. If it was a Windows 11 24H2 issue then ALL Windows 11 24H2s would have this problem like the case with Ubisoft.

I keep pushing for honesty because I sensed they would do this the moment they singled out Windows 11 24H2 on that Known Issues post despite the fact that we knew Windows 10 22H2, Windows 11 23H2, and Linux were also hard crashing.

I cannot send/reply to direct messages because my in-game character has not finished Act 1.
What to do:
1)Write a short review about the hard crashes in notepad.
2)Copy and paste it to steam reviews, put up a negative review.
3)Copy and paste it to steam discussions, put it up there.
i can play again. three hoorays for GGG!
The code, a labyrinth of lines so deep,
Where logic flows, a cryptic, winding sleep.
A crashing sound, a sudden, jarring cease,
A fractured program, lost in digital peace.

The testers cried, "A critical defect!"
A bug emerged, a digital insect.
GGG, the savior, stepped into the fray,
With promises of fixes, come what may.

But GGG, though strong, with algorithms keen,
Could not mend the flaw, the error unseen.
The crash persisted, a relentless foe,
Defying logic, and all that GGG could know.

Through endless loops, and functions intricate,
The bug remained, a stubborn, digital fate.
With every test, the program fell apart,
A symphony of errors, tearing at the heart.
Hey, since the new update the game is not loading, I start the game, and after around a min just crash and freeze. Any feedback how can I play?
I have win10, before the update I played a lot, tier15 endgame no issue, apart of some crash but since the update I cannot play.

disable multithreading, use poeuncrasher, or just wait for the next update
Can something tell me if the patch with the “supposed” fix for the freezing problem is out yet or not? I'm a little confused and don't want to experiment without any certainty.

nothing happened, "for me" the issue was window update since i crashes 30 mins after installing it then when they deployed the cumulative update the crashes stopped instantly

again this is what happened "for me", MY ISSUE was window 24H2 and its not resolved (for me)

Something happened. During a Windows Update from 23H2 to 24H2 many things change in your computer while you are unaware of it.

The reason why I'm telling this is to make it clear that Windows 11 24H2 by itself is not the problem and Windows 11 23H2 or Windows 10 22H2 by themselves are not the solution.

Among these 530 pages we had many like you who claimed this only to come back later and tell that they have crashed again.

Fixed it for some, not fixed it for many others. If you really want to play use PoEUncrasher and monitor the hangups it reports. If it is clear then you are probably on the safe side.

Note that only the loading screen crash is "fixed"(more like worked around by GGG) so if you were crashing in anywhere else you will still be crashing.

In addition the fix only works for the latest Windows 11 24H2 apparently.

We can never know for sure because GGG is refusing to be honest. Just know that Microsoft has not acknowledged that this problem is a Windows problem (they had done that for Ubisoft). So chances are GGG is lying about that too.

As long as GGG is not interested in open and honest communication our only other option is to increase the pressure and warn others by giving a negative review for Path of Exile 2 on Steam in a detailed and informative manner.

GGG's official claim is that hard crashes do not affect Windows 10 22H2. Unfortunately I too have it. There is no fix as of yet. I went to a netcafe to check and almost every Windows 10 there was crashing on PoE2 for some reason...

We can never know why exactly as GGG keeps being dodgy and dishonest.
