Difficulty

I wish it to be significantly harder. Never played PoE 1, it looks like PoE 1 veterans have much more problems with the difficulty, maybe they are too used to mindlessly zooming and watching how everything is dying.
I'm a player who killed hundreds of uber diablos in dII and it made sense there. The difficulty level was adjusted to your level. Today I can compare the first mid boss of Act II to the wasps from Inferno Diablo 3 (act 2) from the first days after the premiere.
game feels great... in the end of act 2 on hardcore...
Like many others have said here, I'm also thinking about moving back to poe 1.
I'm not going to bash the game, but just saying that it's too Ruthless like for me. I never liked Ruthless in poe 1, but I guess I didn't think poe 2 was going to be this close to ruthless. I'm just not a fan of the incredibly minimal drops and crazy boss health, but I know some here like it, so best of luck to you all.
sorry but im tired of ppl comparing this to poe1's difficulty which was an easy snoozefest.

i think some ppl here do not appreciate being challenged and just want to feel like gods. well poe1 is the ideal game for you in those cases.

i appreciate poe2 being more challenging and hope hope hope it does not become too easy.. i think a lot of ppl here just want to turn poe2 into zoomfest screen clearer and i 100% Do not want GGG to take kind of feedback to heart.

amen. i'm tired of easy mode gamers trying to ruin this game with these kinds of appeals.

GGG PLEASE make this game more challenging if anything.

Yup, difficulty is bit too much.

Also, everything is just a bit too slow. Running speed, combat speed, combat actions. Game feels like your character is under water.

Not even one day and already PoE 1 veterans are complaining that you actually NEED TO BE AWARE OF YOUR SOURROUNDINGS

Jesus Christ people, if you are so useless as players, then go back to PoE 1 where everything is easy, you use one skill whole game and everything dies from your mere presence.

People complain because you completely don't understand how to deal dmg in this game, you can't deal dmg without efficiently using skill combos.

Stop complaining and trying to force GGG to change design of this game to become next PoE 1 or Diablo like bs, if you are not having fun then go play PoE 1, simple as that

Really it depends on what you want. If you want an action RPG like PoE1, D1, or D2 then the EA is likely to be disappointing. If you're a very good player and want a challenge you'll be vastly happier with the EA. Simple.

As for being "aware of your surroundings" it's not just that. It's being aware of the surroundings, being aware of the movesets of the bosses, positioning so that IF the boss pulls out a dodge or die skill you're in position to avoid damage, having good damage uptime, executing skill combos in the time allowed before you have to break off and avoid the next "dodge or die" ability and about a half dozen [more?] other things all in real time.

If the "boss gameplay" loop was exclusive to act, map, pinnacle, etc. bosses I'd be fine with it but it seems like every five minutes its another slog hoping that I avoid enough damage & do enough damage so I can proceed.
Really disappointed so far. I think it will be a shame if you leave casuals out entirely from the beginning. Hardly any gear drops, which is the whole reason I play these games. I don't feel like I can keep my gear up with my level and so I have died alot. Feels really sluggish and punishing. Hoping for some changes but if not, its ok, I don't blame them for trying something new. It just looks like it may leave lots and lots of people out. Best of luck to all those who are enjoying it.
I think GGG gonna cop a lot of backlash from casuals here. Most players go and google OP build, copy streamer build, play meta gem they googledetc. Now your asking them to use brain and build defensively with new mechanics without guides + skill based movement and iframes.

I think it's a super ballsy release from GGG and a 10/10 for me personally. Theyve succeeded making monsters relevant and combat engaging here, Games far exceeded my expectations, I really expected them to streamline eazy mode the game for d4 gamers.
