Difficulty

I think the streamers are complicit in suckering a bunch of PoE players into giving GGG a boatload of money for a game that really is not ready for EA. The combat is not very good. Mouse and KB is janky. Drops are PoE1 Ruthless 2.0 levels. Quest bosses are Near Zizaran Gauntlet levels.
Negatives: Mobs are too big and too overwhelming can't seem to kill anything, gold drops are minimal. I have farmed back heaps. My wrist is aching and so little progress after 5 hours playing. Its not much fun if I'm honest.

My time in POE2 maybe very minimal which is disappointing as I was so looking forward to the launch.

Positives: looks fab and I do like the changes but too hard to progress, currently level 8 in tangled place and can't kill the boss again!!

It's killing me. Got a monk to level 11 and was just getting swarmed and killed - couldn't find any loot or anything.

Restarted witch. GOT ONE SHOT BY A SPIKE CRAB IN THE TUTORIAL. Actually one shot. Or one-burst...whatever...one attack.

I do get the "souls-like PoE" people were whispering about before release. Half the people I've seen playing are just using minions and dodge rolling in circles...it's terrible tbh.
I am having the fun issue of barely any useful loot(only found 2 rare's after full clearing all the way up to the count battle and used what little I had to make the rest of my gear)

With the way my monk build is the count boss fight is impossible as to squish and I am not fast enough to dodge everything be it via ranged attacks that the monk has or the melee ones.

After 18 deaths on the count(Yes he has killed me that often) and a wasting most of my gold on a respect at one point and farming more mobs for more stuff I really am left wondering if anyone play tested the monk's early levels at all with bad rng on gear drops.

The guy is squish and the quantity of overlapping skills the count does combined with the slow animations the monk's attacks have make it impossible for me currently to beat him.

This is coming from someone who has 5k+ hours in poe1 who plays souls like games who enjoys harder games but the monk's passive tree area and skill set needs work

Either Glacial Cascade needs to be a bit faster to feel more smooth or some of his other attacks but by god am i just wasting time right now with different skills trying to kill him :/

Am tempted to create another character just to see if i have a more fun time but there are a lot of small annoyances that make poe2 seem like it needs way more work and was not ready for EA just yet

Small edit: 19 deaths to count now 2 to the rest of act 1 and still not beaten the count time to reroll as something else as sad as it is but ran out of money and really don't wanna farm other area's again for a while to get here.

You're entitled to your opinion, of course, but I disagree with everything you've said here.

* The combat feels great to me; better than any other ARPG I've ever played, and I've been playing ARPGs since Diablo I.

* WASD feels odd to me, but click-to-move feels fine; just like any other ARPG.

* I'm having no trouble finding gear as I play through the campaign, so far, and the lack of ground litter is a welcome change from PoE1 - yes, less items are dropping, but more of them are useful, and most of them are at least interesting so far.

* Currency items/crafting materials are also dropping much more often: I've already Regaled and Exalted my first item, and I'm still pretty early in act 1.

* I do miss the vendor recipe system a little - being able to upgrade flasks was really nice in PoE1, and I'm finding flask drops to be a little boring. But that's my only quibble with item drops.

* I've only played one of Zizaran's Gauntlets, and hated it: Zizaran loves to layer a lot of bullshit mechanics onto those things, and I always find them more frustrating than fun. I'm not having any trouble with PoE2's boss fights. I mean, I died three times to the Devourer, and a couple of other times here an there, but I was expecting that so it didn't faze me. Even when I'm dying to bosses in PoE2, I can see what killed me and why, and adjust for my next attempt, which makes beating them feel like an accomplishment in a way that I rarely feel with PoE1 "suddenly bullet-hell" bosses (looking at you, Admiral Whatshisnuts from Settlers League).

So, no, I don't think the streamers have suckered anybody into playing a game that's not ready for early access. I'd say that PoE2 feels far more polished and finished than any other early access game I've played so far, and I've played a few of them. Sorry to heat that you're not enjoying the experience, but I'm having a blast.

The map size, walk speed and monster density need to be tuned in, as of now the game seems extremely slow. Even leveling is extremely slow.

One other feedback is that the game is way too punitive early on, no way to respec and damage scaling is too much based on passive tree: if you get it wrong or try a character that does not have +damage node for your skills nearby, you will have a very hard time. Add on top that loot is pretty rare, especially for weapons because the game locks you into a weapon choice, but also for skill gems and support gems.. If you get a skill that does not deal much damage, good luck trying to get by with a lower level skill that deal a bit more damage

Last but not least, I am having a lot of doubt with the "skill requiring a specific weapon". Not only it limits the gameplay, combination on skills you can use but also it will limit EVERY UNIQUE WEAPONS AND SHIELDS you will want to use endgame

To me what was making POE 1 one of the best, especially early on, was the sheer amount of possibilities for builds: the combination of skills, support, unique and passive with notables that enabled so much different builds and so variety for each seasons.
For now, it looks like the skill tree is not that impactful, the combination of skills is limited by the weapon choice and so will be your gear

For the positive side: the game plays pretty well, visual effect are nice, mouvements and attacks feels dynamic.
Getting rid of the reservation system and replacing it by spirit seems good.

One suggestion for the summoners: Right now, there is no incentive to run multiple minions as we can allocate all of our spirit to one skill.
It would be nice to make the spirit cost increase exponentially when running multiple of the same minions to enable people that want to specialize in summoners to do so at the cost of multiple skills slots for it

I'm curious if there'll be a campaign skip later on. Can't imagine this dreadfully slow start at every upcoming league...
I rage quit in act 2. As a sorceress

Having to start the fight from scratch on death is HORRIBLE.
I may want to log in into PoE 1 to get this bitter taste out of my mouth :(

Sure, tell me "I'm bad at the game" ==> I am. So? I also was bad at PoE1 but I enjoyed it because i could progress anyways.
To be honest, it's not even difficult, it's just tedious.

Monsters have stupid amount of health, they deal a lot of damage, so you can't really take hits, so have to just offscreen them.

The maps are humongous and movement speed is very slow, so you spend a lot of time just... jogging from point A to point B.

Bosses are just bullet sponges with dodge mechanics. They're tougher for melee, as usual, since ranged can just ignore most of the mechanics and dodge roll here and there.

I was kinda hyped but 5 hours in and I think I am done lol, this might not be the game for me, it's too boring.
