It worked!
Didn't make an account a few days ago like I planned. Started after work at 3pm today with the infamous confirmation email sent. Just got that email at 9pm, made the account, bought the game, downloaded the game, and now I'm on the beach!
Things happen beyond your control. Similar situation at my previous job; internet stopped working, after 3 hours the orders started flooding the kitchen, angry mob of customers. What can you do?
Everyone will forget about this tomorrow. Momentary suffering.
Do you really think "What can you do?" applies to GGG?
I would think it can apply to anyone. Stuff happens.
Maybe my professional background makes me more tolerant to these kinds of things. You'd be surprised at how calm you can become after stepping into the shoes of customer service.

Just saw someone did 4 hours said the email system is catching up... but I just tried for the first time and no email so guess its not caught up.

Also having issues with this. Would be sweet to see someone from GGG say more than "check spam" or "whitelist support." It's an issue on their side, not ours.

how can it be that early access was available to buy on steam and now at loggin says no early access
i mean why should we have to link steam
anyway i tried to get verification email sent but nothing
we appreciate its not easy with so many players on the 6th, but to be fair this is really annoying that we paid and downloaded on steam client and are unable to play like 10 hours after launch

could we please have an update as we have no idea if your even working on this and I need to decided if Im just going to give up on this game. Please give us an update and gve us access, this is ridiculous

Email is a very new and emerging technology, so that is most likely why there are so many issues with it right now.
I'm still waiting in the spam folder than inbox.

especially after we redeem our keys on both POE and Steam, you would think that would connect somehow ......
